+ -1 moreScott Remsen set the bar high when he first came to look at my house. He spent a good hour on a ladder checking out the side of my house that was peeling. He took great care and measured what supplies he would need for my project. I received a quote promptly by email. Once he got into the project and found carpenter ants had eaten structure, he came up with a plan to fix the area properly. He uses superior materials that will last a long time and doesn't rush. He kept the work site neat at the end of each day. His workday at my home started after noontime, but he would put in 7-8 hours onsite each day. I am extremely happy with his work.
Description of Work: Remsen Home Services found the source of water infiltration on our house siding beneath a large window in an addition to my house. Constant bubbling and peeling paint were the only signs of a problem. Scott found an infestation of carpenter ants in this area which was undermining the building's structure. He corrected the problem by removing all wet structure and rebuilt the area using proper waterproofing products, caulk, PVC trim and sill, Roxul insulation, new studs and preprimed cedar shingles. He also discovered that six windows were missing flashing and corrected that problem as well. In addition, he replaced trim board on three sides of this addition with shingles. This repair job looks seamless.
