We had a recurring water leak in our kitchen ceiling. Previous efforts didn't resolve the problem. Scott did a thorough exploration of possible sources and found that leakage originated from a bedroom window, which he repaired. He was extremely thorough in checking other areas before finding the source. The solution involved replacing some siding, re- insulating and adjusting flashing and insulating and caulking sections of the window. Excellent work!

Very professional and excellent customer service.

Scott Remsen was able to find out and correct a problem we were having with peeling paint under a large window. He was able to go into the structure of the wall, discover that water had infiltrated into the trim and structure, and see that carpenter ants had burrowed into the structure of a wall. He replaced the plywood, rain barrier, sill and shingles and corrected a problem that was caused by another carpenter who did not use good building practices. Scott is thorough and knowledgeable and does the job right. I am extremely happy with his work.

Scott was highly responsive and was easy to work with. The project was completed in a timely manner and we are pleased with the quality of his work removing and installing an interior door.

Scott has been great. He has worked here for a few days so far. He is very agreeable and professional. He always cleans up, and is very good about going over everything. His communication is very good, and he shows up when he says he will The work is not done yet, but will be by tomorrow. I will post again when it is complete. Here is the second part. Scott did a great job with the project. It looks very good, he was careful with his work, and cleaned up when he was done. We plan to use him again in the spring.

Scott did a fantastic job. Accurate estimate. Reasonable price. Came on time. He even took off his shoes which my wife appreciated greatly! Very careful to clean up after. Would strongly recommend Remsen Home Services to everyone.

Remsen Home Services succeeded where the first contractor failed. The original guy, a subcontractor of the electrician suggested by Service Magic to install my range hood, came back after the job was supposedly "finished" to duct tape the hood vent, which he omitted when he collected my check for his "efforts." The "fix" lasted a few months, then there was more blowback than ever in my face when the hood was on. I then found Scott Remsen, who knew what he was doing. He pointed out that the tape required to permanently seal the ductwork was metallic, special joint sealing tape, not the plastic/cloth duct tape used the the incompetent contractor who did the installation. Scott also showed me that the original contractor cut the vent duct too short, and had tried to seal it with electrician's tape where the pipe met the roof vent. All-in-all, I would give Remsen Home Services an A , and would highly recommend me to my friends.

Scott did an excellent job. The job was more extensive than originally expected. The weather was too cold to paint the area repaired. However, much to his credit Scott returned in the spring and completed the painting.

Scott was professional, courteous, and best of all under budget! He was reliable and his communication was excellent. He did a great job with gutter cleaning for our condo association, and we plan to use him for other maintenance tasks at the condos.

I did not use him - but he was very conscientious about follow up without being annoying.
