They called within 48 hours of drop off to tell me it was ready.  The work they did matched the work order and the price came in under the estimate.  The yard machine works great.

All went as planned.  They repaired all necessary parts and returned the worn ones as spares.
They are a Toro dealer.  They get very busy, so early planning and getting on the schedule is important.
I waited 3-4 weeks in Aug/Sept.  I feel price was fair.

They have been servicing our snowblower for a few years now, they pick up and drop off - they were even responsive to an emergency in the dead of last year's awful winter.

went great; they are a small business and took a week to fix my mower, but I am very happy with the service

They did a good job and when I got the snow blower back it was ready to go. They replaced some parts that I hadn't even mentioned to them. I like that they pick up and drop off. They are a bit pricey but they do good work.

Service was excellent.  Price quoted was accurate. Cleaned and washed mower which was an unexpected service. Did have to bring back for additional service which was covered under the initial repair.

I did not hear from them until the day they called me to tell me they completed the work and it would be $400. I expressed my displeasure. The owner told me, again, he would call me in the morning and that they would deliver it the next day and try to work somthing out.  Again, no call. When the delivery guy came his resolution was to demand $400 then drive off with my snow blower. This after verifying my request for a call to authorize the work was clearly on the paperwork.

I waited to hear from the owner of Needham Garden Center but never did. Now I'm thinking, great these guys just got my snow blower for free. I tried to call but could not get anyone on the phone. I sent another email requesting that he not sell my snow blower, that we would resolve the matter in small claims court. Only then did I hear from him. He decided that he would undo the repairs he made and leave the snow blower back at my friend's house.

It was a pretty bad customer experience.

Fifteen year old Sears Craftsman lawnmower would start but stall after a few seconds after sitting in the garage all winter. NGC rebuilt the carburetor and sharpened the blade. Works fine now. First time I ever had the lawnmower serviced. They told me it would be a week, but they called me three days later and told me the work was done. Rather busy this time of year, but they got to it in a timely manner.

OK, I know it was summer, but I didn't want to be stranded when the snow hit. The machine wouldn't start and I had taken a swing at trying to fix it with no success. They knew the machine inside and out, diagnosed the problem and fixed it promptly. It worked right through this past dreadful winter with no issues.

Having delayed this overdue service for years, I finally brought in my snow blower the day before our first big storm. I expected to have to shovel this storm without my snowblower, but I figured at least it would be ready for the next storm. I was told the blower would be ready in a week, which seemed resonable. A mere 20 hours later, 4 hours before the big storm was due, I got a call saying my blower was ready to be picked up. It was home in time for the storm, and worked great! I am very impressed by NGC who clearly were sensitive to the timing and made an effort to help me out. Ihave already recommended NGC to a friend, and will continue to send work their way when I can.

Thirteen year-old lawnmower would start, but then stall after a few minutes of operation. When we dropped it off for repair, we discussed different options given the age of the machine, and decided that a tune-up would be fine but would hold the line on a carburetor replacement. We found everyone helpful and willing to take time to explain the repairs. Although it was mid-summer, the turn-around time was just two days (we brought it in on Monday and it was ready on Wednesday). The mower runs like a new machine. Great job!

They estimated 1 week turnaround but had it repaired in 3 days which is amazing at this time of the year. Fabulous service.

I checked angie's list, saw that this vendor was given good ratings, and contacted them about servicing my mower. It had been at least four years since the mower had last been serviced. They answered the phone promptly, were polite and professional on the phone, and I brought my mower in several days later. They told me that it would take about a week to perform the check and any needed repairs, but they called just a few days later to tell me that it was ready. After I was unable to pick it up for another week, they gave me a follow-up/reminder call. At pick-up, they were once again polite and professional.

Went better than expected in that they first quoted a two week time frame in order to pick up and return. They actually came to pick up the snow thrower within two days. I would recommend that the contractor be better at estimating when they could provide service.

Generally great. I called on Monday, brought the mower in Mon/Tues and had it back by Thurs/Fri. Very pleased with the mower's performance since. They were candid -- and accurate -- with price estimate. They generally encourage repair v. replacement. This mower is probably 5-7 years old and will hopefully give us at least as long again. Big savings. I knocked down price (to a "B") only b/c we had done a ton of work ourselves (replace the gas, change the spark plugs, etc.) before bringing it in. I was hoping that would mean we got some sort of discount but either they just charge a flat fee regardless of which small pieces they do or they didn't listen and they did it all over again anyway. Some evidence of the latter when they told me as I left to "replace the old gas since the mower has been sitting." Anyway, a small ding mostly due to my high expectations not their estimate (they warned me) and actual service. You'll save money if they only sharpen your blade; ours needed to be replaced as we seem to have rocky soil in spots and have apparently dinged our blade beyond repair. That was probably a $20-30 additional charge v. sharpening only). Oh, and I can confirm as others have said. They will load mower in and out of the car for you, breaking handle down if necessary, etc. A good, small-town, old-school, high-quality service experience.

When I discovered that my ten-year-old lawn mower wasn't working, I wasn't sure if I should get it repaired or replaced. But I took it to Needham Garden Center for repairs and just two days later they called to say it was ready! They cleaned and flushed the tank, fuel system and carburetor. The replaced the spark plug, air filter, gasket, throttle wire and blade. They changed the oil and scraped the deck. They did a tune up. They took it out of the car for me when I arrived and loaded it in when I picked it up. It works great now and should be good for another couple of years.
