"I'm sorry you had such a negative experience with our company. It would appear the ice maker service was done in August of 2006 and the toilet prior to that. I am surprised by your comments as our standard procedure for the toilet would have been to replace it immediately without question if it was a factory defect. With regard to the icemaker issue, I'm sorry that happened as well. If the issue occurred that same fall, we would have gladly come out and rectified the situation free of charge had we been notified of it. A lot has changed since 2006 at our company, we'd welcome you to try us again. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised with the service."
"I'm sorry you were unhappy with the price. We normally charge $265 for laundry connection, especially when it has to be moved from another room and set in place and then minor re-piping to connect the machine to what was already there. Because there was other work being done, we discounted the price for you. In this area, I don't know too many folks who would charge less than $265 for the same service that are licensed plumbers/gasfitters. While we try to stock a variety of products, we don't carry every brand on the market. We left because the laundry valve we normally stock was not a good fit for your existing setup and would have taken longer to install. We found the replacement for what you had and came back with it. I'd be happy to quote your projects in the future and see if we can better service your needs with a quote before performing the service so you understand cost up front and we are able to pickup the exact stock you need before starting the work."

It is not true that we were unable to reach our electrician! Your plumber didn't even tell us that we needed an electrician. We did NOT request the electrical service from you. After 30 years of prompt payments to your company, of course we would have paid for a service that we requested. Why would I complain that you did something that I asked for? It would be nice if you had admitted your mistake.
"The job was done in April of 2008. At that time, you were unable to reach your electrician and had asked that we provide all services to get the heater back up and running when we asked about electrical. We enjoyed our lengthy partnership with you and are sorry to have lost you as a customer over a service that was requested at the time of install. Glad you were able to find someone else to assist you in your future needs."

About an hour after initial call and before service person arrived, the boiler started working on its own and house heated up. I still wanted to get system checked out but also avoid OT rates. I called McDonnell and they agreed to come next day during normal hours which worked out well for me. Tech came, diagnosed problem with pressure controller but did not have part. Had to go get new part before it could be fixed. Overall happy with experience. Hard to beat talking to a person when calling after hours, scheduling same day service and flexibility to change to next day. It would have been nice to have the part on the truck rather than having to pay for time for plumber to go get it but understand that is probably too much to ask.
