Harvey's is a multi-generational family-run store, and my experiences with it have always been superb. They have an incredible staff that is very customer-oriented and well-trained, they provide very helpful information on a wide range of topics, and they have a large selection of services and products. What's more is they couldn't repair the toothbrus holder, but they provided me with a kit that would allow me to make the repairs myself at a minimal cost.

I can go there and very rarely have not found what I needed.

I brought eight knives to be sharpened. Harveys subcontracts this
service. Drop off is before Friday morning when sharpening is done and
pickup after Friday morning. I picked up the knives and when I arrived
home, four of the large knives where not sharpened appropriately. Their
edges were rough and brown/ochre toned. I called and was told to return
them. They were redone and I was not charged any additional amount. I
gave the overall experience a C because (1) I had to make two additional
round trips(drop off and pick up) to Harvey's to have the service done
correctl;y (2) I had to wait extra weeks to get properly sharpened knives and (3) had I not checked before returning four of the knives
to my dad's home, he might have been cut due to the very uneven edge
left on the two largest of his knives coupled with his vision
impairment. I gave a B for quality because the quality was poor until remedied..
Harveys was very willing to remedy the error and have the
subcontractor resharpen the knives. Although Harvey's did everything well, their sharpener did not. The experience was not
ideal or even good. It was okay -- a C grade.
The moral of the story is to unwrap repaired items before leaving the store. Mea culpa.

In general, Harvey's has been helpful with all our hardware needs.

Mike was able to fit me into his schedule at the last minute and was there right when he said he would be. He was very professional and friendly. The work was done in a timely manner and he cleaned up after it was done. I will definitely contact them first if I need locksmith services in the future. The price to me seems competitive to other locksmiths. Even if it was a little higher, it is worth it to me for the peace of mind knowing that the job was done right and by someone I could trust.

I go there all the time. They are awesome. They came exactly the same day. They performed whatever was needed.

The work turned out very well. They were very reliable. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Our door lock kept getting stuck, so I called the nearest locksmith--Harvey's. It took him less than five minutes to replace a small part in our door, and we live .8 mile from the store. I thought it was quite expensive, considering.

I called Harvey's Hardware on a Monday morning, and they sent a locksmith within 1.5 hours. He finished the work (installing a deadbolt) in about 30 minutes. He also tightened one of the hinges on the door which was loose. The work cost ~$120, which was much less than a $300 estimate quoted by another local locksmith. I will definitely use this service again.

They were very professional and prompt and provided a high quality product. They installed storm windows on our house about 15 years ago. We were very satisfied then and decided to use them for this current job. We have also used them for lock work, and they have always been prompt, pleasant and reliable.

This store is fantastic. You can't walk in the door 10 feet without being approached with helpful direction (invaluable since the store is crowded with everything under the sun!). Each of the employees are helpful. Even if they need to refer you to an area expert, they help you find the person and tee up the question. They found the lightbulbs I needed for an almost century-old fixture and had me on my way in less than 5 minutes! I have noticed that weekdays are a LOT easier to get help/direction than weekends. However, our recent trip was on a weekend and they got the wheelbarrow we needed right out to us (they bring it out the back since aisles are crowded). They also walk the propane tanks out to the car if you need help. Amazing! BTW, I keep thinking they must be a lot more expensive than the "big chain" hardware stores but I've found very little difference. Besides, the convenience, service and time-savings (not to mention gas savings) to go local MORE than make up for whatever small differences I've found!

Prompt, punctual and professional service.

Harvey's Hardware Co. Inc. was a very good company to work with. The windows are of such a good quality that they have reduced our heating and air conditioning bills. The windows are very easy to clean. We're very pleased with them. I can't remember the total cost, but I know it was a fair price.

I have shopping for 2 1/2 years at their store. They came highly recommended. Their service is unbelievable. The store is incredibly overstocked and well laid out. Their employees are very well trained and pleasant. They are famous throughout our area for their good service.
