We have used Jonasson for years with great success, but unfortunately have noticed a decline in service and responsiveness. Historically, they have been professional, punctual, and competitively priced. They replaced the valves for a couple of heating zones. The actual repair work went well, however, the valves failed (locking up) within one year of installation. Despite multiple messages and one conversation (including the opportunity for $2K+ of new work), they have not responded to any request to come by and make their own assessment of the issue. It is disappointing they do not stand behind their work.
"[Member Name Removed], With all due respect I actually choose not to respond to your last request for service. To set the record straight we have done business since November 9, 2008 until November 4, 2014. During that time I performed ten service calls or installs for you and your wife. Also during that time the invoice for $ 545.00 on June 14, 2009 didn't get paid until February 25, 2015. But I let that go and I didn't at the time let it affect our relationship. We then did the next two service calls cod. The next two invoices took two months to collect on. Then there was a $ 125.00 invoice on November 3, 2012 that didn't get paid until February 28, 2013. And then the last invoice on November 4, 2014 I didn't get paid until January 17, 2015. So you can see where I am going here. I spent numerous times visiting your house and talking to you and your wife regarding the heat on the first floor. Quite frankly I got tired of that conversation. It took over a year to discuss again the second water meter and back flow device or the irrigation system. I thought that the best way to leave the situation was to just not respond and let you draw your own conclusion. You know maybe he's too busy (which I am) to maybe retired, slowing down etc. Or that maybe he doesn't want to work for us anymore. We all have contractors that come and go unfortunately now people like yourself choose to wright a review about a contractor that in fact did you no harm other than not responding to you because he didn't want to work for you anymore. My company does over four thousand service related calls a year and I would consider a few negative comments to be a reward. Carl H. Jonasson President C.H. Jonasson Corporation"
"Wow!!!! I installed this water heater on December 1, 2003. I in fact installed a fifty gallon electric water heater not a forty gallon as he claims. As for the second part of his complaint, he had a leaking part that was not covered under any warranty. He choose not to pay the invoice when the work was completed so I removed my part and re-installed his leaking part. Of course that was after he was explained on how to do it. So much for paying for professional services this guy is a :LIAR!!!! Anyone that would like to see the dated (12/01/2003) invoice I would be happy to provide that to you. Carl H. Jonasson President"
Otherwise, it was a quick fix. The sink has been working fine since they repaired it.
The person they sent was great. The dishwasher hose needed fixing and the shower nozzle needed a part replaced. He had all parts in his truck and fixed them immediately. After looking at the washer/dryer hooks situation, he said that it would probably be easier and more cost effective to pull the electrical than pull the plumbing. But in the meantime he helped me set up the stacked washer/dryer and hook up the vent - none of which was in his job requirements. So nice of him!
The bill was very reasonable considering everything was fixed correctly and promptly. He was right about the washer/dryer situation as well. I highly recommend this company.
"Since I never subscribe to or check sites like these because they are 90% untrue Ii was brought to my attention another issue please read above about the guy posting a complaint in 2014 when I installed the water heater in 2003. Wow! talk about a joker. Anyway I went back through our very complete records and can not find any person by this name. So would someone please step forward and give me some more information so that I can respond correctly. I think we have a ghost writer which is almost always the case with these people.
