Tom took voltage measurements and figured out what was wrong, in minutes. He fixed the issue, and we have our heat back. He charged very reasonable price. We definitely will call him again, if we have any hvac issues.

I had the pleasure of having Tom and his crew repair the Central AC in my condo unit. Tom was professional, extremely knowledgeable and reasonably priced. He is also an excellent communicator and kept me in the loop every step of the way. He also has a very calm demeanor and put me at ease instantaneously about the scope of my project since I had a 40 yr old system and the repair was extensive. I cannot say enough good things about his work and would recommend him in a heartbeat!!!!!

Tom was excellent to work with. We had several people quote but he seemed the most honest. His quote was very reasonable. Always cleaned up after each visit. He also noticed other things that needed repairs and gave his opinion on what needed to be done (not ac related as well). Very knowledgeable.

I think it went too fast. Not really sure what is included in cleaning a furnace but he had very little tools and a small air compressor and blew out the dust. I just felt maybe more work could have been done on these furnaces. I would ask what's included next time I have furnaces cleaned out.

The service was great. He came out within a couple of days after I purchased the Big Deal. There were no additional charges on top of the $49 Big Deal. Everything was fine. He needed to clean the system and he did it. Everything was clean on it and it was working well after that.

I hired a different Angies list plumber who left me and my tenants without heat. Tom and his assistant came in later that night as an emergency call and reassembled what the other incompetent plumber took apart and restored my heat.

Furnace runs quieter than ever. Three other service providers over the past 3 years told us that the ticking noises in our walls was due to pipe expansion and was normal. They also said that the water pressure in the system was fine (despite the gauge reading very low). Tom replace the pressure relief valve and adjusted the auto-feed valve and now there is no more noise in my walls when the furnace kicks in and the pressure gauge reads normal. They also left the furnace room very clean after the work was done.

He cleaned and checked the heating system, and verified all was working correctly. Then he checked my ac and thermostat for correct function. He also stayed a little long and gave me free advice on starting a gas heater that came with the house. Overall, a nice guy and very helpful. I'll use him again.

I'm not really sure what the big deal meant I guess. It said "inspection and cleaning" but there was definitely no cleaning done. Just a few shakes on the cables to make sure they didn't break, play with the gas a bit, and turn on the heat. I expected at least an air can brought out, as it was rather dusty in there. I did however have the ducts clean the week before, so perhaps it was cleaner than before. I just bought this place and at least feel comfortable that it was said to be in okay condition, as I feared it wasn't, but still would have liked to feel like I paid for something.
We discussed doing an A/C installation and got a quote off that. Tom was a good guy and would call him once I am able to make this purchase.

The motor in the A/C system was very noicy. (Actually, I had known from Youtube that the noice came from the motor ). The service provider came and spent less than 3 minutes. He told us that the whole ventilation needed to be replaced, which would cost more than 1000 dollars.
Later, I called another electrian, who fixed it with a $100 charge!
I also found that Angie's List is not helpful at all. Those Big Deals are all useless because the providers use them to lure customers and when you contact them, they usually ask you to pay more omeny.

"This unit was beyond its expected life span and the motor is obviously not available for it as it is a special frame and if someone wants to mickey mouse a unit just to put a motor in that is not noisy then they can do that but we are a professional company that does the job right or we do not touch it. said an electrician did this work and they have no idea how an air conditioner works so they should not be working on it as they are not licensed to do that type of work. Please remember that when a unit is beyond its useful life you replace it so that more things can not break and cost you more money. That is the best advice."

He filled the freon but he made an approximate estimate that he had filled 9 lbs of freon. I would have liked if he had weighed the Freon Bottle before and after the fillup.

He finished the furnace inspection but did not do the AC inspection as it was too cold. The inspection more looked like a sales pitch for further repairs. He did not have a checklist of things that he was inspecting for.

"The air conditioning was not inspected other than a visual inspection as the outdoor temperature was too cold as the customer stated. The $29.00 deal is a basic inspection of the system to give pricing and recommendations on what needs to be done to the system. There is a different deal for $49.00 that is an actual maintenance of either the heating system or the air conditioning system. If the customer paid $49.00 for heating maintenance and $49.00 for air conditioning maintenance then an actual maintenance would have been performed instead of an inspection. Please read the deals completely before choosing which service you want."

He came down with his truck and was highly competent on what needed to be done to fix. He had all the right parts to fix the night bridge furnace. I was very impressed because a lot of plumbers have said that it can be very finicky. He did a great job and I am very happy with him. I will definitely use him again.
