Contacted him in mid May. After leaveing several messages with answering service Steve set up a time to visit. Stuck waiting for him better part of day as he wanted me to be available. NO SHOW, NO CALL. I called more then a little 'miffed' and SOB stood me up again!

They're very professional and reasonable. I like working with them. I found his prices very reasonable. I really like that he has a receptionist to answer the phone, which helps avoid having to email or play telephone tag.

In the end I got two offers and Gold was the most competitively priced of the two by a good margin. Steve was easy to deal with and professional. The reason I am not giving him an A on price is that while his quote for the retaining wall and the rest of landscaping was the best, when I asked him to quote other additional jobs (for instance, paving a driveway), his estimates were considerably higher (e.g. 50% more) than other companies', which I ended up using very successfully. My sense is that what he charges for other jobs (like routine maintenance, cleanups etc.) is fair but certainly not the most competitive out there. But again, my overall experience was excellent and I would use Steve again for the main landscaping job.
