 + -1 moreDishonest and unprofessional company. Winters sent a tech to trouble shoot why my Weil McLain Water heater had water running out of the bottom . The tech identified that the heat exchanger had a hole in the exhaust, that he had seen the issue before, and that its due to the heat exchanger running low on water. He then gave me a quote for $3000 to replace the heat exchanger (which he called Weil McLain and got a warranty claim approved), and another $500 to replace the components he said had caused the "Low water level" in the boiler. Taken back by the price, i started looking online and found several others have had this problem and that it is in fact a design defect that Weil has since corrected with a new design. NOTHING TO DO WITH $500 worth of other parts he wanted to sell. Then after several other quotes found that the replacement heat exchanger averaged $500-$750 in labor to replace, which I was happy to award to a DIFFERENT provider other than WINTERS COMPANY out of Cambridge. Avoid them if you want to avoid being ripped off.

Description of Work: They replaced some parts in a boiler that had stopped working, but not all the parts they said needed changing. Some gas leaked afterwards and problem was not fixed as was due to low gas pressure which was tested by another plumber and eventually the gas company replaced a regulator which was only available when a house was disconnected as is no longer manufactured.
