Paul Battagalia

I found him on Angie’s List and he is great.  He shows up on his own and performs the work without me having to call him out which is convenient.  He performs a great job even if I am not at home.

Service was fine, but not stellar. We used Paul Battaglia for a few times (two cleanings per year, spring & fall) until we moved out of our house. He had other work in the neighborhood and stopped by to see if we needed a gutter cleaner. He was smart and professional when we met him, gave us a fair estimate, and the work was done well enough to keep the gutters flowing. A low-maintenance, fairly priced solution for us at the time. That said, we were disappointed at least once when the guys left a mess, i.e., gutter splatter on our back deck and deck furniture. Also, I saw them once (typically we were at work) and realized that the operation seemed a little low tech and that his workers were running around in worn-down sneakers on our (steep) roof with leaf blowers. I never asked specifically to see his insurance so can't say, but at that moment I suddenly got nervous for the guys' safety and our liability! I said "yes" I'd use these guys again, but only if they could document they are licensed, bonded & insured. I'll see when I make my calls in the next few weeks!

The work was great and the yard was spotless, the only way I knew he had come was the bill. It rained the night he came and my gutters didn't overflow so as far as I'm concerned it was a job well done.

I called 3 times. Finally got him and when I asked him if he could clean my gutters, he flatly said he was not interested. How is that for being courteous?

Paul returned my call the same day. He came the next business day, after we spoke, ready to do the job right then if I gave him the OK, which I did. He cleaned all the gutters very quickly and thoroughly, and was very conscientious about our landscaping. Great guy, excellent service. We'll use him every year.

HE COULD NOT SHOW PROOF OF INSURANCE. ALSO NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. WE HAD A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WHICH HE NEVER KEPT AFTER I REQUESTED PROOF OF INSURANCE, AND NEVER CALLED TO CANCEL. HE IS A RETIRED FIREFIGHTER.

NICE GUY. RETURNS CALLS AFTER SIX, SINCE HE'S ON SITE DURING THE DAY. HE CAME OUT PRETTY QUICKLY EVEN THOUGH I CALLED LATE IN THE SEASON.

WE HAVE SET UP A ROUTINE WHERE HE WILL REGULARLY CLEAN OUR GUTTERS, AS NEEDED, AND INFORM US OF ANY REPAIRS NEEDED.
