The only thing a problem with this company, is it is next to impossible to get Derek to call you back or respond to a message. Usually, it takes 2 calls to get hold of him. We have just moved away from MA and I have now left 3 messages on his voice mail. The empty garbage and recycling bins have been sitting in front of the empty house for the last 3 weeks!!! The new buyers actually have it written in a P&S addendum to have them removed and I can't even get a call back from Derek - so 2 stars off.
Suggestion Derek - get a receptionist to handle customer phone calls, especially if you are so busy you don't have time to call customers back (yes, left full name, number, and address all three times). Next is a registered letter.
About a month ago I got really p***** at them for no reason. We diligently recycle and this way about 2/3 of our weekly pickup is actually recycling. So when I saw our guy dumping both of the cans into back of the truck several weeks in the row, I called to cancel. Boy was I angry. Derek, very patiently, explained to me, that he buys split-body garbage trucks, which have two separate compartments. These aren't kind of older trucks we are used to seeing, where recycling goes into side of the truck, not back.
I did go and google those truck. Those are interesting pieces of machinery. Kudos to Derek for handling it calmly.
Also, never had an issue with their pickup timing. I leave can out Monday night and when I am home after work on Tuesday, can are always put aside neatly, so they don't obstruct driveway.
We had been using Orifice to pick up our trash for about a year. A few times they came super early and we missed the pick up. When I called (you can only call the owner direct) he basically said, too bad, get it out sooner. So each week it was the stress to make sure I got it out, not to miss them (of course most times they come very late not early).
For Memorial day they said "trash will be a day delayed", I put the can out anyway for Tuesday (our regular day), and at 6pm they came to get it. Good thing I didn't follow that. (because of course if you miss it they wont come back or refund your money)
The website says they "sanitize" the trash cans. I started to notice that a smell was building in the can and over time you could barely breath when you opened it. After trying to clean it myself and never wanting to take the trash out, I decided I would just cancell.de
