I am very happy to have found Gary. He called me back (no small thing these days ), did great work at a great price, and I am very happy with all my dealings with him. he did not try and upsell me to more expensive and uneeded extras as some of the (ahem) LARGE companies tried to push on me.

Gary is very responsive, easy to work with and an excellent plumber. As this was a bit of an emergency, Gary was able to work us in to his schedule quickly and repair the pipe.

Gary had done previous work for us.  While he was out for a previous repair and I showed him the water heater and discussed my options and prices.  About a six months later I finally called and scheduled the replacement.  He arrived promptly and went right to work.   He also answered all my questions again about requirements for tankless, solar water heaters, the operation of the new water heater and the warranty.  All went smoothly and the work area left tidied up.  I was very happy with the work.

Really we'll. He even fixed our dishwasher when I showed him the problem. He charged a reasonable amount for that repair, too.

Gary arrived as scheduled. He called to let me know that he would arrive in about 10 - 15 minutes. He immediately assessed the problem and had it repaired in no time. He checked everything to make sure that it worked okay. His price was very reasonable. He also checked my gas water heater and told me about something that I should keep my eye on. He is always professional, courteous and has great prices.

Excellent.   After a week, we have had no more pipe hammer when closing any faucet or run the toilets.

As the shower control looked fine when he checked it, it seems that the excessive water pressure also was affecting our shower temperature.  After the new valve was in, the water temp in the shower has been fine.

Gary didn't waste any time and zeroed right in on our problem.  I would recommend him.

It went fine. Gary replaced a thermocouple, checked pressures, and test-fired up the boiler.  The charge was for $15 for the replacement part, and $95 for labor.
My residence was built in 1971, and I have lived here since 1976.  The heating system was then a 4-zone gas-fired hot water system. It operated with a single pump with 4 Taco zone valves, each of which was controlled by a separate thermostat.  The system had the useful advantage of being able to provide heat without using electricity if the power went out. (You simply released the zone valves, and pushed a manual-automatic control on the aquastat to "manual" , and a thermopile would flame up the gas jets. Yiou now had gravity heat (but not thermostatically controlled).  It would take time to distribute the heat, but it would work until you set the control to "automatic."
Toward the end of its service life, it became apparent that the system needed replacing. While my records do not go back that far, it was likely in 2005 that Gary Brown replaced the system.  The newer unit had 4 smaller and separate pumps without the need for zone valves.  Gary's installation was much neater, and has performed well ever since.  (Gary explained that it needed to have an electric power supply to operate, as units that operated without power were no longer being made. Indeed, when we replaced the stove in a kitchen re-do, the oven also required electricity to function. But we don't lose power often, but if we did, I acquired a generator to meet the need.)  I think that replacement cost was about $5000, which I considered reasonable.
I recite this because I have used other plumbers before with somewhat less satisfaction. A neighbor recommended B&W as being a capable and reliable plumber, and I have done so approximately for about 15 years, with great satisfaction.  When the main bathroom started disintegrating in perhaps 2006, he, along with others who provided capentry and electrical services remodelled the bathroom with great skill.
Gary is both capable and reliable and  I can recommend him to any one who wants quality work. He never sold me anything I didn't want or need.  I regard his work as fairly priced.

I have hired Gary several times over the past 2 1/2 years.  He has repaired problems caused by other workers, i.e., handymen.  In the case of the kitchen faucet, the metallic hose covering had split and it was difficult to pull the hose out of the faucet.  Gary inspected and said it would cost as much to repair as to buy a new one.  I bought a new one and he installed it with his usual efficiency and attention to detail.

It was a pretty big deal because he had to run pipes and stuff. They do very high quality work. He is reliable. He shows up and he is trustworthy. My husband found him online. Our experience was excellent.

In the course of 6 or so different service calls, the only issue I have is that there was one job left unfinished (hooking up the icemaker in my fridge) - though I remember Gary had a good reason at the time.  This, however, has been a minor complaint in the body of work B&W has turned in over the years.

Gary returned my original call to him in less than 24 hrs, gave me an estimate over the phone for the work I wanted done, and made an appointment for 2 days later to do the work. He showed up on time, completed the work in less time than he estimated, and at the price he had estimated. He was very professional, helpful, and easy to talk to to. He also took time to talk to me about some future work I was thinking of doing, and gave me a written estimate for one of the projects. I thought he was a great person to deal with and would definitely use him again.

Gary responded to my phone calls promptly, arrived on time, and did a very good job installing the vanity. He removed the old vanity and took it away. We pointed out another leaky faucet in the kitchen and Gary was able fix that easily, without needing to replace the whole faucet as I had feared. Overall, Gary was highly professional, demonstrated expertise, and was very pleasant to deal with. A+

Gary did a fine job. He is very professional. My location was a bit outside of his service area, and although it was not a big job, he came anyway. The best thing about Gary is that he returns calls. I also called him about another issue earlier in the year, and although he did not do work for me then, he always called me back the same day. This really leaves a good impression. (I wish other contractors realized this!) I would definitely hire again.

In the first place Gary did something no other repair person ever does - he had free time so he came a day early (after calling to make sure it was convenient). After determining the extent of the damage, he cleared extra time the next day to make sure he could get things in working order for us by the time he left. Gary explained all the problems he found, gave us choices on how we wanted it fixed and left details for other contractors who we would need in order to finish the repairs. Finally, he charged a very reasonable amount for all the work he did. I will recommend him to everyone because he is the epitome of the perfect contractor - proficient, efficient, economical, easy to work with, and a very nice person.

We've used B&W Plumbing several times since we moved into our house over 10 years ago for various projects, including the installation fo a sump pump, installation of several kitchen appliances and heating during our kitchen renovation, and various bits of work during a bathroom renovation, and all has turned out great. With this particular project, we were once again not disappointed. The price was fair, Gary showed up on time, delivered the water heater with no surprises and cleaned up after himself. I can recommend B&W with no reservations.
