He's very PROFESSIONAL, and had great political conversation!
Will call them again .... in a heartbeat!
His price was very reasonable for a 68 yr retired woman, living on a FIXED INCOME!
Most others charged almost twice as much!
Keeping in touch with him by email seemed to work best and he always answered my emails promptly.
First of all, I'll need to explain what happens when someone goes to replace any gas appliance (wither its a gas dryer, gas stove, gas hot water tank, etc). Skip this paragraph if you just want to just read my review on the install. So many people don't realize this but when a gas appliances is being replace, you can run into some headaches in the process. Something you may not know is that the company delivering the gas appliance will not touch the gas connection. So when the new unit is being delivered and if the old unit is still connected, they will just drop the new unit off and leave! Because by law they cant touch the connection, nor for their safety do many of them want to touch an active gas line. So you have to have the plumber disconnect the old unit prior to the delivery. Otherwise you will have both and old and a new appliance in your way. But this comes with a problem too. Even if you are able to get the plumber there before the delivery, the plumber is not going to wait around all day for the delivery of the new appliance to connect it. So to get this to work... you have to have the plumber come and disconnect the gas and leave, then the delivery guy come and swap out the old with the new and leave, to then reschedule probably on another day for the plumber to come back and connect the appliance before your up and running! And if you are trying to install a stacked gas dryer or something requiring heavy lifting or two people; FORGET IT! Because the plumber wont lift or move something that's the weight of an appliance; he's only there to disconnect/connect.
So I had Greg come by a couple days prior to the new stove's arrival to disconnect the old stove so it would be ready for when the new stove arrived. After the new stove was swapped out and in place and Greg came back, we discovered a problem. The gas pipe coming up from the floor was too tall for the new model. On the old stove, the pipe did not hit the back of the stove because the old stove had a notched region that aligned with the pipe. But this new stove didn't have that same notched region in the exact same spot. So what this meant was that the stove was now sticking out 4" beyond the counter. Functionally the stove could work, but who wants athletically a stove to stick out 4" way from the wall and counter top? Luckily because I hired Greg, he was willing to cut the old pipe lower free for no additional charge. This would not have happened with the Bestbuy Plumber who only comes with a wrench. And also because I hired my own plumber, I was able to add to the scope of the work a brand new shutoff valve right behind the stove. This means if I ever needed to quickly cut off the gas to the stove in an emergency, I can just reach behind and shut it off just by hand.
I can't say enough as to why I would recommend you hiring Greg, or especially your own plumber for a gas hookup. With Greg I got someone whom was not only professional, but someone whom didn't nickel and dime me for cutting the pipe and was there every step of the way to make my kitchen look perfect.
He then started asking if it was under warranty, and sure enough when he looked into it It Was! This was a relief to me because I just acquired the home and did not know that it was. Greg then made all the arrangements with the company and handled the return processing and scheduled a visit a week later to swap it out. The final cost was 600 bucks..350 for labor + 100 for an extra man to assist with lifting in & out of a basement + 150 for new plumbing needed for the new water heater and warranty processing charges paid to other.
In the end I am very satisfied with his quick response to my initial call, how fast he quickly replaced & got hot water back on, and the quality of work. The cost was more than I hoped, but I did get a brand new gas water. I will definitely call Greg in the future and highly recommend you do too.
Greg responded promptly and proceeded to take care of replacing the toilet there and then.
He removed the toilet and took it with him.
He installed the new toilet and took care to install extra hold down screw on the existing pipe collar to prevent any movement.
He installed a new wax ring for good measure.
The new toilet was in place in a few hours and he left my Bathroom in a very clean neat condition like he was never there.
I would highly recommend his services to my neighbors and friends.
His cost was 165 Labor and I paid for the toilet.
Very reasonable.
