Scott was great! Very responsive to questions and scheduling. Charged less than quoted because job was less involved. Great clean up. Gave good advice to avoid future problems. Would hire again.

After living in our house for many years we finally decided to redo our outdated kitchen. We had several contractors come in and give us ideas but none of them were as unique as Scott Belvin of Belgray Carpentry. Scott came up with an idea that we never even thought of. Instead of taking down a wall halfway and making a breakfast counter he proposed taking down the entire wall and giving us an island which in the end gave us much more counter space and a beautiful workspace. It turned out to be our dream kitchen and now we have a spacious area for our growing family get togethers. Scott was very punctual from the first time we met to the final finished product. When he said that he would be there at a certain time he always was, you could set your clock by him. If we called or emailed him he got back to us that very same day. His work was meticulous and when he was finished at the end of a day all his tools were picked up and put away and the work area was left clean. He gave us a timeline of start to finish and he completed the job on schedule. I would recommend him to anybody and if I ever have another project he will be the first one that I would call.

I can not say enough positive things about Sean Gray and Scott Belvin! These guys are true professionals, showing up when they say they will, finishing the job when they say they will, cleaning up each day, and giving great attention to detail...and they were incredibly patient, gentle and kind to my kids!
Our GC left with a lot of our money and a bunch of work left to do. Sean and Scott came in, assessed the situation with me, gave an estimate, and stayed true to that estimate (both in terms of time frame and money). There are so many positive things to say about them that it would be hard to fit in this review, but I want to highlight the custom fireplace surround they built (in a matter of a few hours)! The fireplace is in the corner of the room, and, due to the location of windows, etc., it's sort of an awkward corner to deal with. Sean and Scott looked at pictures of what we liked, made some suggestions and then were VERY patient as my wife and I went through 2 or 3 idea changes before they started the surround. I was concerned that the surround would look shoved into the corner and look like it was made to work, but they did a great job listening to our concerns, making it look good and appropriately sized for the room, yet substantial enough that it doesn't feel like an after thought.
These guys are great custom carpenters who can handle basic things like baseboard and trim, all the way up to custom cabinets and built-ins. They are great listeners who get your input every step of the way to ensure that you get exactly what you are hoping for. They even coordinated some drywall installation and plastering, as well as the return and delivery of materials that the GC ordered that were wrong.
I very highly and happily recommend them.

A+++ all around! These guys are amazing. They are punctual, professional, thorough and well priced. The care and quality of the work they provide is unparalleled. We have an older home (1890) and Scott and Sean did an incredible job blending the new construction to the character of the house. All the work was completed on time and we received daily updates on progress. They are honestly the best home service providers that I have had experience with since being a home owner. I'm actually looking forward to finding another project for them to complete!
