That's why we specialize in comfortable, cost effective heating solutions, including furnaces, boilers, hybrid systems, geothermal systems and heat pumps. We also provide annual maintenance contracts and assess your heating system to evaluate its energy efficiency. We can help you maintain and repair the system you have, or replace it completely. As factory trained technicians, we can provide routine periodic inspections, licensed warranty and post warranty repairs, and immediate emergency response. Indoor air pollution can actually be worse for you that outdoor pollution. We can help supply and install air purifiers and humidifiers, and we're certified in duct system design, installation, and cleaning.

After AC condenser unit failed to start on 90 degree Memorial Day evening, called KBS (along with two other companies) on the Tuesday after. One company did not respond and other company was not able to handle the work until the second week of June. I booked an appointment with KBS for early the next day. Once Ken, the technician, arrived, I reviewed the situation and suggested it might be the capacitor (thank you, You Tube ... ), but given the age of the unit it could be more. Ken gave me clear instructions on how to set up testing for the unit using the thermostat and quickly diagnosed the problem as the capacitor (I'm glad that's all it was). He replaced the capacitor (he had the correct part on the truck), and we retested the unit -- it now worked correctly (fan was running and cool air was flowing -- yay!). He showed me how to clean the condenser coils with the hose and we tested the second unit. Ken is obviously an expert and worked quickly to diagnose the problem. He was able to explain the unit components (condenser, compressor), explained how to understand the electrical units described on the capacitor, and suggested maintenance tips for the AC units in the house. I was happy to have his super skillful mentoring (yup, I’m a geek). I was VERY glad to have a pro handle this repair as there is ample opportunity for an enthusiastic amateur to misdiagnose the problem or risk an injury. Very good guy to work with: honest and very professional. Highly recommended.

2 gas-fired hot air furnaces, and gas fireplace were not working. Called and left 2 messages in the morning. Betty returned my calls and got a service tech to us around noon. This was the ONLY company willing to come the same day ! Also, only 1 of 2 companies (out of the many I called) willing to come within 2 days. Problem turned out to be with the gas meter not regulating the pressure properly, but without having the gas pressure issue verified by an HVAC technician, we would not have gotten the gas company replace the meter. Mike (the service technician) was friendly and knowledgeable.

Very well. Miguel evaluated the thermostat and the furnace. The thermostat had come loose and was no longer functioning. He replaced the thermostat with an updated version. He was very efficient and pleasant. It was great to learn the furnace was in good working order.

Excellent from start to finish, I had an in-person quote 2 days after my initial inquiry while other companies took about a month to respond. The quote was adjusted to guarantee eligibility for a substantial energy rebate. The installers were prompt, neat, polite, and kept me informed as the work progressed. Masks and social distancing were adhered to. Love the system and would recommend KBS highly.

From start to finish, the project progressed flawlessly. They were thorough, professional, included the subcontractors for the electrical in the price and coordinated their work with them on the day of the install and removed all the old equipment. They left the place spotless. They were also less expensive than the 2 other vendors I had quoted.

All good. Called midweek when furnace was failing, and a tech happened to be in the adjacent town. Came by within 40 minutes, did well working while my wife was on a work call and couldn't really talk. Hefty markup on the replacement part needed, but no complaints, they had it on hand and got things working quickly. Satisfied, would recommend.

Called Kermit B Schulz & Sons when my old furnace set off my carbon monoxide detector. They came immediately with sensor equipment and determined furnace was no longer safe to operate; and too old (25 years) to repair. Tech took measurements and sent a sales consultant who provided a detailed quote. We accepted and he ordered the equipment and scheduled installation for the next day. They arrived on time at 7:30 am and we had heat at 2:30 pm. They took care of everything. We have used Kermit B Schulz & Sons for many years on our heat and A/C system for preventative maintenance and equipment problems. They have always been very responsive and have taken care of us.

Great, two guys showed up, early! They quickly diagnosed the issue as being a loose flare fitting. They tightened that fitting up, checked all the others. Then recharged the system with new refrigerant. Our mini split system is working great.

Diagnosis was quick and accurate. Some wires were replaced by the tech after the diagnosis, due to rodents chewing them. The broken part was ordered and I was contacted promptly when they received the part for install. Install was supper fast and our family room is now cool again. I would recommend and hire again!

They were fantastic. The next day the sales rep(Brian) called and came out that afternoon with a proposal in hand. He also sent someone over later in the day with two portable electric heaters to keep us warm. A very nice gesture.The unit came in Wednesday and was installed on Thursday. I had a new unit with heat on Friday morning. The installers were professional, friendly, informative and answered all my questions. When the work was completed. you would have never known they were there. They left my finished basement as clean as when they arrived. They explained how to use the thermostat and did the programming for me. They are going to check on the system three times within the first year to make sure everything is working properly.(no charge) The only reason I rated the price as good and not excellent was that being the middle of winter and 20 degrees out I was in no position to shop around. However I think the price I paid was a very reasonable price. The same with quality. I know a trane system is a very good one, but I cannot rate it excellent until I have used it for the winter. By the way, when the call went out at 5:00 PM(emergency hours) the technician was at my home at 7:00 PM as promised. He spent two hours at the house and there was no charge for the emergency service call I would highly recommend them!!

They came over the day after I called and surveyed the work to be done, gave me a written quote within a day, and were able to install the new furnace and oil burner 3 days after I placed the order. They were prompt, cheerful, courteous and knowledgeable. They disposed of the old unit and cleaned up the work area when finished. They used quality name-brand products for the new installation (Carrier furnace and Beckett oil burner), not "builder's models." I solicited three bids for this work, Schulz proposed the best equipment, yet provided the most competitive price. I'm very happy with their work, and will use them again without hesitation.
Many companies in this industry sell oil, and that's by far their greatest source of income. They really don't like doing service work, and many of their service technicians are sloppy and cut corners. Schulz does not sell oil, they only perform service work and installations, and are extremely good at it.

I've had them for years and years. They also put in an air conditioning unit for me. They did a great job. I think the price is fair. When you pay less, you get less. They're just prompt and punctual. I've been using them for 20 years.
