Lyles work was excellent. He really knows his craft well. he was a steady worker here at 7 am every day. It took about 2 weeks to finish my deck. It needed total resupport framing on the upper deck the only thing reusable was the footing and posts. In an effort to keep costs down to budget he reused some beams and joists. On the lower deck it was not as bad but it was under supported and lyle addeded more support posts and reinforced beams and joists. We replaced all composite deck flooring and rails. Because we only had limited insurance funds, the railing is a mix of ceder top rail, which he finished off beautifully and PT slats. I had to paint the top rail and Fir posts immediately , but that was thousand dollars less expensive than the composite. Lyle was terrific to work with, excellent communicator. He let me know of cost options, and steered me toward the best option for my price range. We even evaluated some small redesign of the entry which saved me $800. He takes a lot of pride in his work and I could see a huge difference in the work he did and the crappy work of the original work that was done poorly. My husband travels a lot, so this reconstruction of the deck was my responsibility and I never felt that Lyle found that me being a female a barrier to good communication. He cleaned up after himself and came back to add some things we originally declined due to costs but wanted added for appearance. Our new deck is beautiful and solid. He did some re trim of windows and will finish up this week now that I am back from vacation.

Lyle did a great job on our renovation. He was there every day at 7am from day one until the job was complete.  He made suggestions to our design ideas and had no problem making changes if needed.
I joked with him saying, he was the first contractor I had ever dealt with that was chasing me for things needed on job!
 We did a wood look tile floor, tile shower with custom glass, claw foot tub, double vanity, lots of woodwork, chair rails etc. and added a window as well.
Lyle ran the project and his laborer was also friendly and professional. He had a plummer sub ( who also did a great job). We used an electrician we use all the time.  The four worked together to finish the room in only 4 weeks. Literally, he was there every day until it was complete. You don't see that very often.

Lyle does quality work, shows up when he says he is going to and communicates with you during the process.  I refer Lyle to my friends and clients as I know that they will be well taken care of.

This bathroom was the original bathroom from 1982 so was definitely in need of an update.  Lyle did a fabulous job giving us the bathroom we wanted and he had some good suggestions prior to starting the job.  He told us it would be completed in one week and that is exactly how long it took.  He did an excellent job coordinating the plumber, electrician and painter so everything stayed on schedule.  We really appreciated the fact that Lyle did most of the work himself so we were comfortable knowing that he would be the one doing the work throughout most of the remodel.
In addition to being organized, trustworthy and extremely pleasant to work with, Lyle does beautiful work.  He is very talented and we are thrilled with the finished product.   Lyle also did his best to keep costs down, which was important to us.  We would highly recommend LB Home Improvement for any type of job and we do plan on calling Lyle again when we are ready for some other remodeling projects around our house.  Thank you Lyle for all of your hard work!!

The basement looks better than I ever thought it could look and it is now a much more pleasurable space.  His suggestions were solid and his work ethic was great.  He pushed hard to completing it within the timeframe proposed and within budget ($25,000).
The new kitchen design and complimentary fireplace are breathtakingly beautiful.  He finished on time and nearly on budget ($30,000) even though there were a few surprises (we decided to move the stairway to the basement after the old cabinets were removed).  Additional costs incurred involved the decision to reface the fireplace to coordinate with the kitchen tile.
The new master bath is now complete and did come in over budget at $12,000.  This, however, was partly because I did not properly assess the budget before starting it (originally was just replacing toilet and vanity but ended up competely renovating it).  I must also comment that Lyle worked gingerly with me to help me more comfortable with the decisions.  I applaud his ability to calm anxious clients while sticking with what he knows is best.  In the end, Lyle did know what was best and I am pleased with the result.
None of this could have happened without Lyle's role as project manager.  He had clearly defined timelines and pushed his subcontractors to maintain their commitments, as well.  I fully trusted that he would do what he said he would do when he said he would do it.
If you are looking for someone that recommends well designed, resonable solutions to your renovation project, and stays on time and on budget, I strongly recommend Lyle Bouchard.  He has earned my respect and trust and I am sure that he will earn yours, too.
