Very happy with the work Patrick and his crew did for our basement remodel. Also was very forthcoming about pricing. He contacted me every step of the way when there an issue arose. He was quick to implement ideas for work arounds when needed. His staff (office and on-site) were very professional and courteous. I would be happy to have them on any future projects.

It went really well. Through J.E.P.'s online scheduling system, we were able to check on the daily progress of our renovation, including details regarding supplies ordered (e.g. fixtures, flooring, etc.) and the date for delivery and install. The online system also allowed us to select and/or review and approve/deny specific items for the house (e.g. shower head, faucets, etc.) as well as keep track of any overages. One of the things I liked best was that the system allowed for a "live" review of costs against the itemized quote so we could easily see how specific rooms (e.g. kitchen, bath) were tracking against the budget as well as reviewing costs for specific items against the original quoted cost (e.g. light fixtures, etc.). My experience working with Justin (lead contractor/project manager) and Patrick (owner) was great. I felt that everything was handled with complete transparency and we were always kept apprised of the project's status.

Even after following up multiple times, because the quality of JEPs worked seemed to be good based upon website reviews we did try multiple times, we were never even provided an estimate. The thing that is most frustrating is that we were originally given an unreasonable window of three weeks in order to even get the estimate, and did not even start calling to ask until those three weeks were up.... Stringing along the other contractors who did provide timely estimates and wasting time where we could have been planning or even starting our job. We just completed our renovations using a different contractor to the tune of $60000, so it's not like our job was small potatoes. We also expressed that there would be future renovations in addition to our first. I guess JEP doesn't like to establish long term rapport with customers. I guess try them out of they decide you are worth their time; or by pass them and find a really great contractor like we did!

JEP Contracting coordinated the electrical and plumbing work for us, meeting with and handling all communications with both the plumber and electrician. We arranged for the propane company to install a tank outside but JEP had the plumber take care of the connection from the tank to the house as well as the work inside the house. Justin, Chas and Patrick were all fantastic to work with - very nice, responsive and efficient. Justin does great work - everything looks flawless and he cleaned up the work area every single night. The impact of his work on our daily lives was minimal because he took such care in cleaning up and he worked quickly so we were without an oven and stove for only a few days. All in all, a great job and we are very happy with our new range!

First, let me say that I'm an electrical engineer and I'm very picky about quality and workmanship. I had several contractors come to my house to provide quotes for the renovations we wanted to have done. Patrick from JEP contracting was the only person worth talking with. He showed up on-time and before even starting to look at the project, he sat us down and gave us a list of references and talked about his background and how the company works. After looking at the house, he gave us (a few days later) a detailed quote showing how much each step of the project would cost. In order to generate this quote he had his lead carpenter, an electrician, and a plumber visit the house to evaluate the work needed. The quote was higher than our budget, so we started to chip away some of the work from the project to bring the cost down. At the end of everything we realized that we couldn't get everything we wanted if we paid a contractor, so we ended up taking some time off from work and doing most of the project ourselves. However, I felt that my experience working with Patrick warranted a great review. Let me also say that the quotes we received from JEP were very reasonable compared with the quotes from the other contractors we had at the house. The difference is that the quote from JEP was actually clearly written and very detailed, so it was easy to see what we were paying for and why the project would cost as much as quoted. I was also disappointed that I didn't get a chance to work with JEP in the end because I was very excited about the way that their staff and projects were managed. Your project is managed online, and you get to see the project schedule and make changes/updates as the work progresses. You don't have to worry about when the work will be done because you can see the real-time schedule right in front of you.

JEP and Patrick, the owner, were extremely professional. We met with Patrick every week during the entire project. They really believe in open communication. They were extremely clean and aware that their worksite was our home. They mopped the floors at the end of every day! Most all of the subcontractors were friendly and professional and also paid attention to minimizing the disturbance to our household. The skills of the workers was excellent. They were invested in making sure we were happy with the final project, which we definitely were.
