Insight is a bigger pest than any I've had in my house. Contract them and you will NEVER BE ABLE TO GET RID OF THEM. For over a year I have written emails and endured lengthy phone calls about charges for services that I did NOT receive- with people who just repeat that I 'signed a 1-year contract'-- thou the initial rep said I could end the services at any time. I have a long email trail of requests asking to stop all services, but only making a claim at the bank stopped Insight from taking whatever they felt they were owed from my bank account (amounting to over $400 at the point the bank stopped the deductions). After my first service, I saw that what had been promised was NOTHING like what they actually do. The serviceman did a quick perimeter spray then sprayed a little inside- leaving out most of the basement, garage and attic. He said there were no mice infestations (and they 'only set mouse traps' anyway) and was not an expert on infestations (which I'd been promised he would be) but promised he'd have one come over. To date, I still haven't seen one. So I asked him to have the rep call me. I never heard from her, but another 2 service notifications arrived, and to both I responded that I did NOT want another service until the rep and I had discussed the disparity between what had been promised. But service guys came anyway-- so I turned them both away asking that he have the rep call me before I got any more services. I heard nothing, but for both, a full 'service' was deducted from my bank account! ($400 at this point) Then they sent a service guy on Christmas EVE! I was out of town, so my renter said she would not authorize his doing the service and he left-- but you guessed it, a payment was automatically deducted from my account. The bank supported my claim however and refunded me the $149 they had charged Now they are billing me for 2 new ‘services’ that supposedly happened this spring (the Bank refused to automatically deduct it), but on both dates I was at the house at the time they listed and NO ONE came to the house Believe NOTHING this company promises- and expect they will automatically deduct whatever they bill, no matter if it's incorrect. Now that they've involved a CREDIT collector, so I have no choice except to hire a lawyer to sue them. Considering all their 1-star reviews and the 268 Better Business Bureau cases pending, I'm afraid my case will handled as casually as all their other dealings. So contract them at your own risk; this business is a sham

I agree with the dishonesty. We had a sales guy come to our home. We just stopped spraying with another company because I became a stay at home mom. The day the guy came we noticed our mouse problem was coming back. This guy gave us a "discounted price" because he had customers already on our street. I told him right off the bat that I cant be held in a contract because I do not work and not sure income each month. He promised me there was no contract or any fee canceling, I could cancel any time after the first 99 dollar fee. He pulled out an Ipad and went right to a line to sign, NO contract was seen because he said, "this is to sign that we agree what we just talked about." On my end my bad for falling to sign something I couldn't even see. We talked about de webbing siding, mouse problem and yard spraying. When the first technician and only came to our house he had NO mouse traps and told me to wait until the next month tech to bring them..... WHAT???? That was the MAIN reason we had gone with this company with addition to NO fees and could cancel. He also said they don't de webb, I followed him around the whole house and inside the house so I know he didn't and he said sometime the sales rep just rambles and states they do stuff but they really don't... THEN, we go to the basement where I already know is where the mouse problem comes from. He finds a dead mouse, laughs and states, "well there is a mummified mouse here" He leaves it there and I ask you aren't going to take is down from the wood beam. He laughs and keeps moving around with his spray for spiders. My husband ended up coming home to take the mouse down. So is Insight not a pest control company? I called because this was horrible service he was not even ready for my home. I was calling to stop my service where then we find out there is a 250 dollar canceling fee if you don't reach an amount of times for them to come. They say this is what I signed. I looked at my email and this is what I signed. So the sales rep that came to my house LIED!!!!! When calling they said that I cant cancel and they want to send out another tech. I do not trust this company AT ALL. They just kept saying they'll lower the price of my cancelation because there is no way in there system to cancel, BULL! The "manager" wouldn't let me speak to anyone higher or more stated there was no on higher than him!!!!!!

On May 28, 2018 a sales woman (Justina) from Insight Pest Solutions (Insight) came to our door. She told me that Insight was running a one-day “Memorial Day Special” for $69. Justina told me that it covered pest control applications for a year and that the special one-day price was extremely low because the company wanted to get a foothold in the new development. Justina also told me that a neighbor sent her. Because the price was so low, I “finger signed” the screen on her electronic device. I asked for a copy, but she refused, saying she would email a copy in a few days. We never received a copy of the contract. When the service was performed we received a $69 invoice. There was no notation that any additional charges would be forthcoming. We got our credit card statement in Sept. and noticed Insight had charged us an additional $119. I talked to Justina who told me that I had signed an annual contract calling for 4 quarterly payments. I protested that we never received any contract. Justina then said she must not have sent it to our email address. I also protested that Justina’s sales pitch never ever mentioned anything about quarterly payments. She replied that she probably didn’t explain all aspects of the service. We then spoke to the admin. staff at Insight. Their response was, too bad you signed a contract and threatened us with a collection agency scam. I protested saying under Massachusetts Law that Insight was required to provide a copy of any contract to us and we had never received one. We would have immediately voided the contract in the 3 day grace period provided under state law. Additionally the sales person had just admitted to using fraudulent sales practices. They again refused to adjust the $119 and subsequently sent us another bill with a $300 cancellation charge. Insight later finally sent a copy of what I will describe as the null and void contract. Very interestingly it shows that I signed, and authorized Insight to charge the $69. However the totally separate signature block on the contract that would have authorized ongoing quarterly charges by Insight was left blank. It seems quite obvious that the sales woman didn’t ask me to sign in the ongoing authorization block because by asking me to do that, it would have contradicted the sales person’s fraudulent sales pitch that the total charge for the year was just $69. I researched internet, ratings reviews of Insight by other people. What I found was astonishing. There are a large number of complaints in the ratings on Yelp and Angie’s List. It appears to be part of the company’s culture. In the reviews below, you will see all of the same fraudulent statements that were perpetrated on me: phony special deal, no contract delivered, lying that it is a one time charge, falsely claiming that neighbors use the service, collection agency scam. The following can best be summarized as a 5-year history of the ongoing fraudulent practices of Insight Pest Solutions. 7/2/13 “He…explained the process … but did not mention about the contract. But on the day of the first application, I was shown the contract papers, and the fine print was if you cancel the 4 application process ($125 each) then you have to pay the penalty and fees of around $325. 6/11/14 “Misleading sales pitch……no hard copy was signed by me with the salesman, the lap top form was too small and impossible to read in the bright sunlight.” ……..“They were offering a special as they were trying to expand their territory……….He offered a treatment for $125, but did not say that there was a required contract for 4 treatments.” 7/12/14 “They are a service provider which requires an annual contract, though during the sales pitch there is no mention of this.” 9/8/16 “They promise $125 per the year for their service, and then sent me a contract for $125 per quarter and when I went to cancel, they charged me a $125 fee to cancel. “ 5/30/17 “Came by my house and said that all of our neighbors are using the service, had the nerve to actually use their names. Not one of them uses the service.” 8/28/17 “…and lied and said all of my neighbors used them.” 1/29/18 “Guy came to our door…claimed he was treating the neighbors yard. Thinking it was a 1-time application, my husband agreed to have him spray the yard for ticks……Fast forward 6 months and we receive a collection letter for $375 and a threat to report us to all the credit bureaus.” Bogus business tactics. 7/28/18 “Shady sales pitch….headed to our neighbors…. I caught up with him at another neighbors, he was telling him that both I and the previous neighbor had already signed up. I questioned him about these obvious lies and he said he sometimes stretches the truth”

Be aware of their billing practices. For example, if you make your payments within 30 days based on their US mailed invoice date, in this case the invoice date was June 1, you won't get scheduled for their monthly mosquito service in the subsequent month. Insight did not provide our monthly June mosquito service because they stated they did not receive our payment until June 25. In early July a representative came to our door and asked if we were happy with our service. We informed him we never received our June mosquito application, he checked and acknowledged it wasn't received and offered our August application at no charge. A full week after our July 11 mosquito application we were still being attacked by mosquitos while sitting on our back patio. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone July 19 asking for another application to remedy the situation because we were hosting wedding quests on the upcoming weekend. I was denied a re-application because Insight said I had to wait 10 days for the initial application to take effect. The mosquito problem did not clear up and we were denied the use of our back yard during this important event. Insight failed to back up their promise to return if the customer was dissatisfied with the result! Finally, when we called Insight on August 22 because we hadn't received our August monthly mosquito application, which we were previously told would be at no charge, Insight informed us we would be charged because the representative failed to make a notation on our account. Lousy customer service!

Frank Bruner walked with me around the property and inside the house as I explained how old the house was, where I saw pests, the fact we have pets, etc. Then he described the treatments to address each type of pest in each area (outside sill, attached garage, windows + doors, interior sill, kitchen, etc). So I sat on the couch and watched Frank jump in and out of his van, each time with a new deadly potion - but safe for humans and pets. When he was done he showed me where he placed mice traps, so that I could check for vile victims. He handed me two ant traps to move around as I saw fit...the bait would last for months he said. Then he left a written card with a detailed list of what he had put down for me. I am on the 1-year program, Insight Pest Solutions will return in 90 days for review and another round of treatment.

We hired insight pest solutions last summer to prevent potential ticks in our backyard and signed on for a year of service.
