Very happy with the overall experience. Quick to schedule an appointment and they showed up on time. Other electricians were charging a much higher price just to come out and assess the issue. The electrician was knowledgeable and quickly assessed the problem. Additional recommendations were made but there was no over-selling. He kept me informed of what needed to be done and clear on cost. Thank you for the great service.

Project: Install new central A/C unit. Tingley showed up on time and completed the work when they said they would. (It's a two-day job). They had the lowest cost estimate. (though a new central A/C is not cheap) They helped set up a MassSave inspection prior to A/C installation which allowed us to apply for a MassSave rebate on the new A/C. The only small negative is they were not 100% effective cleaning up afterwards, but I was able to pick up the leftover debris myself.

We had an expensive chandelier that didn’t work, an outdoor light that wasn’t working, a complex bathroom fan/light combo that needed installation, a drawer microwave circuit that was always tripping, and we needed two outlets put in the basement. Noah and Tony fixed all of these jobs efficiently and quickly. All these annoyances gone for a very reasonable price! I would hire them back for anything in a heartbeat. Thanks again, Tingley!

They were able to schedule me for the work less than a week later. Two technicians came, wore booties and masks, and got the job done quickly. The total cost was on the high end, but I had a rough estimate of the price from another electrician already and it was relatively in-line, so my expectation of the final cost was not a shocker.

We were in a bind because the thermostat was not working and the temperature was in the 50s on a cold day. Unfortunately, we did not look at your typical range of thermostat replacement cost until after the bill was presented., which initially was $650, but was lowered to 501 when we mentioned that we did not need a programmable thermostat so we were given a non-programmable Honeywell $40 device instead. We expressed concern about the high price, the electrician said he did not work by the hour but certain home-office costs were built into our charge including a $99 initial fee to come out. I then went on your site asking how much does a thermostat replacement cost and your site said the typical range was $113-$255. Tingley customer service stated "We do not go by HomeAdvisor estimates. We use other high-quality companies to compare ourselves with. Further objection on our part led them to deduct the original $99 fee for coming out to the house. This brought the total to $401, approximately $150 higher than the top of your typical range. We still feel this charge to be outrageous considering a $40 item was screwed into the wall in less than an hour time. I regret not going on YouTube and doing it myself. We would appreciate any help you could give us in restoring some fairness to this transaction.

They were knowledgeable and professional. I would hire them again and I would recommend them to a neighbor or a friend. I was very pleased.

I thought everything went well. Only problem that occurred was I went to put burner on to warm up a bit. Burner wouldn't come on, called service man and he found the switch on the circuit breaker was shut off. So just another problem of having to put out more money, that at this time is skimpy . Thank you.

Technicians paid almost no attention to the job I wanted done and tried to sell me a very expensive and unnecessary upgrade of our entire system. When I finally got them to focus on the minor job I wanted done, they quoted an outrageous price.
