We have never used a cleaning service before, but in the crunch of moving out and selling our house, we listened to advice and looked for a cleaning service through Angie's List. Oliveira's Cleaning had an A rating (but only 4 reviews) and were able to come on fairly short notice (I called 6 days before the closing). The owner, Darci, was responsive and scheduled the cleaning for the morning of the day before the closing. We went by that evening to check, and were very disappointed in the results. While some areas of the house were very thoroughly cleaned, other areas seemed to have been neglected altogether. For example, the tenants' bathtub looked much better, with mildew taken care of, but the toilet in the same bathroom had dark yellow gunk around part of the base. The top two shelves of the pantry appeared not to have been vacuumed, much less wiped. (Possibly the cleaner didn't have a stool or chair on which to stand to reach them, but that's something they should bring with them.) There were cobwebs on walls where bookcases had been. The basement needed a lot more vacuuming to be "broom clean," the requirement for the sale. My husband and I spent an hour and a half working hard vacuuming and wiping, and were able to leave the house good enough for the walk-through the next morning. I interacted with Darci a few days later when I had some time, and sent her pictures of the problem areas. She apologized and said she would have come back to do more cleaning if I had let her know.

I'm surprised because the only place I know we forgot to vacuum is the stairs on the back but I cleaned by hand before leaving All the shelves we vacuumed and wiped with Clorox This bedroom is in the basement ? The cleaners missed that one ! If you told me instead of cleaning I could've send someone to fix the area that has being forgotten . Thanks for letting me know and giving me the chance to explain myself All the other areas were cleaned All the baseboards and Window sills vacuumed In the bathroom, we did clean top to bottom. The whole bathroom need a lot of work and in our agreement we decided to do more in the kitchens and bathrooms, and save time in the other areas . I even got 3 cleaners instead of 2. But yes, I'm disappointed that we missed this bedroom in the basement. I'm really sorry ! I just want to clarify that her husband looked every single room before paying me and the only place that need to be redone was the back stairs that I did clean by hand. Over one week later she tells me that we did not vacuum a room at all . How ? Her husband was checking even the closets and cabinets ."

After Darci looked at my spaces she was able to give me a quote on the spot. She presented me with several letters of recommendations from clients and a quote better than what I had been paying another service. Two or three of her team of cleaners spend several hours working on general cleaning and anything specific I have requested.
There was one issue with some items going through the dishwasher that I wish hadn't but once I made Darci aware that was no longer an issue.

Oliveira's Cleaning (Darci) has been cleaning our house for 5 and 1/2 years. Darci does a fantastic job! She is punctual, professional and the house always looks great when she is done. They clean 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, our kitchen, playroom, office and foyer twice a month for $140. She and her partner are usually there for about 2 hours. She is very easy to communicate with whether by phone, email or in person. Darci is friendly, helpful and very hardworking. She takes her job very seriously and it really shows. I highly recommend Oliveira's Cleaning and plan on continuing to use their services.
