Please think before you hire this company. On September 18th around 9am, someone came to my front door claiming they had "extra" asphalt from a job down the road and seeing as we need a new driveway, they were going to offer us a deal. My girlfriend answered the door as I was working on my construction site at the time, and she asked them to call me to see what I thought. After a brief conversation with "Bill" (who I believe was the owner's son), he said hold on, I?ll call you back. I received a call back from the owner's nephew who explained he would remove the old asphalt and replace with fresh asphalt for under $4 per square foot. I work in the business as a contractor and this seemed like a deal, so i said measure it out and call me back with an order of magnitude. (Ballpark cost of project). After two hours I received a call from my GF who said, "They?re paving, what's the cost?" To which i then made several attempts to call the nephew (who later claimed his phone was dead). I then called the owner's son who said "don't worry about it, you're getting a good deal" I then realized that it had only been a few hours and there was no way they could have torn up and regarded my driveway in that short amount of time. I called back the owner's son and said ?get your men off of my property or i will be calling the police." which they did pack up and leave. Then they tried to get cash from my GF with a charge of the driveway for $6700. If my driveway was ripped up, re-graded and replaced this would be ok, but since it was not done properly... I was extremely upset. Since then I have been repeatedly called by the owner and his son trying to get me to pay for the work done. I am not going to pay for work that I did not agree to and was not even remotely done properly. They have gone so far as to even go to my next door neighbor to ask for money! To all readers: I work construction, there is no such thing as "extra asphalt" it would be hard as a rock within an hour, just like concrete. I had hired this company to do my bosses house 4 months prior to this and had a positive experience. They ripped out and replaced a 1570 sq. foot driveway for $4,000. My driveway was 1610 sq feet and they tried charging $6700 without ripping out the old asphalt. Something is wrong with the way they estimate their projects.
