Joe and his team were fantastic! The bulkhead was made specifically for our home and replaced a very old, rotting wooden bulkhead door. The door is made well and looks great. Joe and his team were very professional and very nice to work with. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to get this done!

I had an older, leaky bulkhead and Joe and his crew came out quickly and performed the work as promised. Price was reasonable too. The new bulkhead is high quality and is well sealed - withstanding several big storms with no signs of leaking. Joe and I had a mix up on pricing, which ended up being my mistake, and he still gave me a discount based on my misunderstanding - even when I offered to pay the full amount. Stand up guy.

Joe was honest with his lead time and finished the job quickly and professionally. We needed an apron poured so he did that and 2 days after in cured the bulkhead was installed. Great finish and watertight.

Joe and his crew did a fantastic job. The old set up trickled water into the basement whenever it rained. Joe raised the foundation 6 inches and bumped it out a step. The new bulkhead looks great and no more water leaking in. Joe checked in numerous times after completing the job to find out if the job was satisfactory and leak proof. He stressed that his job is to make the customer happy. I’d highly recommend Joe and his company!

Joe was on time and did an incredible job. After the job was completed, he called several times to be sure we were satisfied and asked if there were any complaints. No complaints.

Joe is a very nice man and his work is excellent. He came when he said he would, did a fantastic job fabricating and installing our new bulkhead and left the site so clean you never would have known any work was done! I would hire him again in a heartbeat and you could not go wrong choosing him as your bulkhead contractor.

My initial contact was via email. After giving him the dimensions and some pictures of the old bulkhead, he gave me a quote. We agreed on a day and time, and Joe and his crew arrived on time. They installed a new bulkhead, which was already primed and ready to paint. Very nice job. They took the old one away, so that was one less job that I had to do. Also, they did the work on a day of high heat and humidity. I highly recommend him.

Our bulkhead needed to be customized since it didn't fit any standard size. We reached out to Joe (owner) who came over very quickly after contact to give us an estimate. Not only was he extremely communicative his work was fantastic. Joe was very honest with us (no surprises) and kept making sure we were happy with the process/work. The team did an exceptional job!

I sent Joe a picture of my worn out wood bulkhead. He gave me an estimate and discussed my options. The bulkhead was at grade with my driveway so there was a water problem. I wanted a complete job so he offered galvanized and painted. It cost a little more but this way the product looks great and will last. Patience is required because Joe is good at what he does so there is a waiting list. It took some time with weather delays but my conclusion is that Joe was well worth waiting for. Nice Job. Couldn't be happier. Joe & his team were friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and he was able to quickly identify that my water issue was because the bulkhead was at grade with the patio. They built up a concrete apron 6" and then installed a high quality steel bulkhead. The results speak for themselves, awesome job!

I highly recommend Joe and the workers at The Bulkhead Man. The whole process was easy. He installed a new bulkhead in a timely manner, it looks great and he plugged up all existing leaks in the surrounding concrete. I am very happy every time it rains now.

We called Joe at the beginning of a major exterior renovation project at our home. He asked for some basic measurements and pictures of the existing door. He came by when we were closer to his portion of the project. He was professional, so kind and very attentive to our questions, concerns and needs. He spent some time outside at the bulkhead area and he had a design and drawing in just a few minutes. My husband and I, with his sketch in hand agreed to his plans. We hoped it would look good. We really could not visualize it. The door system was installed earlier this week and it looks fantastic. Its sleek and modern looking. We are so happy with the design and functionality of the door. Joe and his team were prompt, professional and did a great job replacing my leaky old bulkhead. The fabrication fit my foundation perfectly.

Joe was awesome. Installed custom made bulkhead in a very tough space. I spoke to 3 other bulkhead installers. Joe was the only one who customized the bulkhead to exactly what I wanted. It is such a pleasure opening my basement door after a rain storm and finding not a drop of water inside.

I contacted Joe regarding a leaking bulkhead. He asked for pictures to perform a free estimate. Not only was he able to tell me what was wrong over the phone, it was an easy fix! He called me within an hour of me sending the photos and talked me through how to clear up my issue and not only that, Went above and beyond by calling the next day to make sure that my problem was solved. I was not even a previous customer and I happened to find Joe through the Internet. He also was able to give me a lot of information about bulkheads and how to continue to look for problems. I will have no hesitation calling him if I should have an issue in the future and definitely recommend him to others.

I am the type of guy who will spend 3 hours researching to make sure I pick a good person to do work on my house and I created an Angie's account to give Joe this review; he owns and operates The Bulkhead Man Inc. Stop researching other contractors and call him. He knows more about bulkheads, than anyone else you could work with. He calls it bulkheadology, there is a science to it, and Joe knows it. When I asked him, he said he's been working on bulkheads for 26 years (as of 2018), and has installed over 4,000 of them. I asked him a ton of questions and he was friendly, polite, and professional even though some of my questions were a bit stupid. The quality of the work was phenomenal, I was getting water every time it rained, and the door I had wasn't insulated and extremely drafty. After he was done, we got 1.5 inches of rain and I didn't get a drop of water, the insulated door seals so tightly, that when I open it, not only can you hear the suction, but the bulkhead doors rattle. Joe shows up with a crew of a few guys, if you want to hang around and watch what they're doing, they're hysterical and extremely hard working. They do a lot of jobs together and you can tell by their teamwork and all the laughing. Joe's getting a lot of attention recently and he's very busy, so call him. I'm extremely happy with the work he did at my house and you will be too.

Joe was responsive and professional during the whole process. We were a little surprised at the longer lead time, but went with him based on the strong reviews we read. We realized later that the lead time was because he and his crew were so busy earning other excellent reviews! He checked in to let me know when they'd be coming before each of the 2 visits- one day to remove the old drafty, leaky wooden bulkhead and pour the concrete base, and one (the day after Thanksgiving!) to install the new steel bulkhead. We were out of town that day, so he even texted photos so that I'd see the finished work. Joe always responded promptly when I had questions about the product or which paint to use. We've dealt with a number of contractors for our old house, and Joe and his crew are BY FAR the best example of how it's done right!

I made an appointment and Joe came right out. He explained the problem and what he would do to fix it. He answered all my questions, was polite and professional and gave me a good price. He installed the new door and called after it poured rain, to be sure there were no issues. I am very happy to have this taken care of. I wish all contractors were as nice, honest and pleasant to work with.
