We hired Steve and team because of multiple great reviews from friends and they did not disappoint. We had 2 separate leaks in our basement that ruined the finished floor. They did an incredible job replacing the floor while adding safeguards against water in the future. 5 Stars! Highly Recommend!

We initially hired Steve (before we closed) to remove the carpet from a couple rooms in our new house and refinish the hardwoods underneath (why do people cover hardwoods!? Use an area rug!) After we closed we realized we really needed to refinish all the floors, and also that there wasn t hardwood under the bedroom rugs so we would have to install them. Also - midway through the project we decided to add wooden floor vents too (highly recommend doing this they look so slick!). So our initial request changed significantly, but Steve accommodated all our changes without complaint. He showed up on time, got the expanded project done within his estimated time frame, and the quality of work is superb - our floors look stunning! Steve is also one of the most responsive contractors I ve worked with, and accommodated our communications over email and text, not just old school phone calls (I hate when contractors refuse to communicate over email or text - I m at work during the day and can t always take a call, so props to Steve!) I really can t emphasize how easy he was to work with and how accommodating he was. We received a few quotes and his prices are very competitive. Though we were worried about making a large deposit upfront, it was a huge relief when the new floors showed up when he said they would and when his crew showed up on time. I would have no hesitation whole heartedly recommending Steve! We will be keeping his number handy for any future projects or repair work we need. Thank you Steve!

Steve and his team gave us an quote that was hard to refuse. So just in case I checked a couple references who gave glowing reviews. And work commenced fairly soon thereafter and I couldn't be happier! The floors look amazing! They did a great job, kept the house clean (though we & they had it easy because it was empty.) The only downside was they showed up 15 minutes late, but the work was solid â  and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to get hardwood floors refinished, want stunning results, and look for value.

We had a very different experience that made everything a little more difficult. They were 3.5 hours late the first day because his truck wasn't registered. But Eric was great about making the other days a little earlier for us so we didn't have to stick around. But because we needed to add another day, and Steve had been traveling that weekend, it extended past the 3 days we had planned and had to work around our work schedules. The guys are really nice, and the floors look fine (some unevenness in the reflections I wasn't expecting, but done all the way to the corners, even in the closets). They are fine, got the job done, just made scheduling a little inconvenient for us.

Steven Ward the owner of the business is very professional and knows alot about hardwood floors. His pricing is more than fair for the amount of work that he performs. I had a very difficult floor that had to be repaired the wood had big pieces missing and he was able to repair it with wood from the closet, you can't even tell that anything was ever wrong with the floor. Also, he is the only person I got an estimate from that puts on three coats of poly on the hardwood floors. They look amazing I am thrilled with the work that he did and will definitely use him again as well as refer him to anyone. Steve was also able to repair a cabinet in the kitchen that had all crumbled from a previous leak, he put down wood to make it sturdy and also put poly on all cabinets to make them look like new again. Mr Ward was prompt with his initial consultation and scheduling for the work. He and his crew installed a beautiful wooden kitchen floor, and they refinished and polished 5 other rooms in my home. He did a beautiful job, and gave me lots of information. I have already referred him to my neighbors.

After removing the steam radiators (new heating system), our hardwood floors had holes in them. Ultimate Hardwood Floors had the perfect solution - to replace the damaged pieces with matching boards from a closet. They completed the job within a day and the floors look great!
