Mark was very professional and a nice person to deal with. I did the demolition myself and Mark did the tiling. He installed a cement backboard over the floor and laid the new 12x24 inch ceramic tiles. He did a great job and used very thin grout lines and the result was very impressive. I did ask him to return for some minor touch-ups and he came back to make sure I was happy with the job. He also cut and installed a marble threshold for the bathroom door entrance.
Overall, a great experience and I would recommend Mark to others.

MJ Guerin Construction was excellent. They completed the job within a week. They were honest on what needed to be done. They also gave me an advice on other things.

Mark was extremely easy to work with. Very responsive and took the time to explain how to best repair sheetrock/dry wall. I highly recommend him and his work.

I kept calling him, because we had issues with both the delivery of the appliances and our computer, for confirming his contract on email. He was aware of codes --under sink switch for disposal-- and included these in his estimate. He was very cooperative and returned on a Saturday when the delivery schedule was changed on us.
He does not use a tarp to cover the floor, but brings his own shop vac and cleans up at the end of his work.

An aside-- Home Depot uses GE delivery services for their appliances. We would check out Lowes or a local appliance store if we ever have to shop again.

I had a long list of unrelated tasks needing to be done. Mark came to the house to see what was needed. He emailed me a written estimate, grouping the tasks into 3 phases, each representing a day's work. On a few items, he recommended solutions that would be better and less expensive than what I had requested. We had a few communication problems, mainly concerning the schedule, but we resolved those. I give Mark high points for making sure that I was satisfied. In this report, I gave him a grade of 'B' in the ratings on responsiveness and punctuality, but I believe that he is making an effort not to overbook and expect that next time he would get an 'A' in these categories. (The problem is that he is a good guy trying to help out, and when clients ask him to do more than originally planned, his schedule gets jammed.) I have been working on a new list of chores for spring and summer, and Mark is the person I will call. I am willing to wait until he is available because I am confident that his work will be right the first time. Bottom line is he knows what he is doing, can do just about anything, is a good, honest guy, and really does try to please his customers.

I hung the drywall myself and then had Highlander Plastering come in and tape and mud. They did a poor job; i.e. uneven finish, ruts and bumps, and the joint compound was not feathered out properly; A mess. Mark came in and evaluated the problems. He fixed all the issues and did a great job. He was prompt and easy to work with. Thanks Mark.

Mark was busy and we were scheduled 2 to 3 weeks out. It then had to be delayed by a day or so because of weather conditions. Once he started, he stayed until it was finished. 1) Jacking up the porch went as expected. 2) The shed footings became a bit bigger job because the initiail intent was to just use blocks in the ground, but it became evident that the frost would cause problems later. So he dough deep holes an used cement as the anchor. Everything is all level, looks great, and it should be the last repare needed for the supports. 3) Due to the very tight work space and extreme heat, venting he bath fan was difficult to get to the soffit, but Mark did a great job.

They were busy (because they are good) and couldn't get to me immediately. Their bid was lower than others, and they came highly recommended. Mark communicated well saying when they'd be arriving. In two weeks, they were at work fixing the problem. Didn't know how bad it was until the wall was opened up. Luckily the outside did not have to be touched. So after replacing wood, insulation and sheetrock, it was as good as new. The crew got most of it done in a day and came back to finish it up (paint, etc). There was one piece of plywood left over that was bought for the job, since the outside did not need to be touched. I have since seen other sheetrock work they did at another house and it looks great. I will have them back to fix the wall behind the tile in my shower. My experience and that of others I know tell me that Mark is extremely humble and honest. He does what is right and does not charge for a fix in the rare case that they make a mistake. I recommend Guerin Construction Highly.

I was given Mark's name from another company as someone that could help out with carpentry and general contracting projects. I called Mark and he came over that day to review the projects. He submitted written estimates several days later and then contacted me the week before the work was done. He arrived as promised, was very neat and professional. He did all work as promised and had a very positive attitude about helping out with anything I needed help with (for example, he noticed the 2 holes in the drywall that had been created by an electrician and he asked if I needed help getting those patched). He has a very positive attitude and is easy to work with.
