Anthony was fantastic. He was quick to get back to us, started the work promptly, worked very hard to complete it in a timely fashion, and is just an all-around nice guy to work with. He also paid very close attention to every detail and the final product looks great. Highly recommend.

Mr. Fraser postponed the installation date twice.  This was not a big deal for us, so we said fine each time.
When he was halfway through the job, he noticed that he had failed to install the tiles in a diagonal pattern as we had asked and as he said he would do in his quote.  He said that he would never have quoted us the price he did had he realized that it was for a diagonal installation, an assertion that was contradicted by the wording of his quote and by my memory of an explicit conversation about this topic when he came to quote the job.  He said that the tiles that had been installed could not be taken up without breaking them, so we'd have to start from square one, order new tile, pay for it, etc. etc.  So I let him off the hook by having him do a small repair job in a bathroom in addition to the entrance foyer.
The quality of the work was fine, once you overlook the gross error and slippery excuses that he offered when the error became apparent.  So if you want to consider him, you must stay on top of him so that some critical error is not made at the outset.

Fraser Tile is fantastic!! We had Fraser Tile install a kitchen floor during our remodel project. There were some challenges with our project and Anthony Fraser went above and beyond to meet our very tight deadline including staying very late for a few nights and showing up on Saturday to get the job done. Who does that these days?
The floor was off well over a 1 and frac12;” in some areas, Anthony leveled the floor and perfectly aligned the tile with our existing hardwood floors. We chose a 12and quot;x24and quot; rectified edge tile with 5 shaded pattern variations. Anthony spent a great deal of time dry laying the tile to get the very best visual combinations and made sure I was totally happy with the way everything looked before he
proceeded.
Every carpenter, plumber, electrician and building inspector who has come in has commented on the great job on the floor.
We are having him back to install the backsplash, once we finally make a decision.

I did my own research and wanted Ditra for underlayment, and Tony supported my choice and had previous experience with it. (I interviewed another tiler who wouldn't listen to this request). Although Tony had done a skim coat of modified thinset above Ditra on other jobs, he understood why I wanted only unmodified in my case; this is just an example of how easy it was to work w/Tony. His square footage measurement was pretty much spot on (I bought 346 sq ft of tile and we ended up w/a few extra pieces; a different tiler laughed at my own 300 sq ft estimate and said was more like 400 sq ft). I wanted to get the Ditra on my own, and he was okay w/that.
The job took a few more days than originally estimated but the quality and beauty of the work was worth the wait. He kept us updated on the progress (we were away the week he finished up). He took our input on which tiles to put where (give lighter ones the focus, hide the darker ones). The transition strips required a revisit to reglue down. He happily totally redid the transition strip to the basement door when we changed our mind and wanted a transition that spanned the entire top step instead of the usual few inches, and he went over and above by also raising the next lower step to subtly mask that the height to the top step was now higher than before (so this was safer, too). Tony was easy to work with and did excellent quality work laying the tile (beautifully laid and spaced), removed all the old squeaks, replaced a section of rotted plywood. He did the whole job by himself, although had a helper moving the appliances. We would definitely work w/him again.

The job was supposed to be complete in 4-6 weeks. The first week and demolition went well. However things drastically went downhill from there. Tony did not arrive typically until 10am and left most days at 2pm. What professional keeps these hours? Most contractors demand to start no later than 8am! What was worse was that the entire time he was working, he talked on the phone with family and friends so the time he spent working was not fully productive. By the end of the third week, I was very concerned because the job was not progressing, and Tony did not demonstrate the knowledge or drive to complete the work. He was consistently on the phone asking others how to do the work. When I questioned him, he made excuses for the delay, but said he had the work under control. At about 2.5 weeks, he began to build the cabinet and it was a disaster. He does not have carpentry skills, and was not able to follow the specific specifications I gave him. I knew I was in trouble when he stopped work on the cabinet and moved on to other items. When I asked about the cabinet he was very evasive. He would not answer phone calls and his voicemail was always full so you could not leave a message. To make matter worse, this bathroom, which I made Tony aware of from the start, is a handicapped bathroom that my elderly mother and disabled sister rely on for their personal hygiene. Tony was still working on the job 2.5 months later! I was so frustrated, but did not want to give up because I would be very difficult to hire another contractor who would pick up where Tony left off, not to mention very expensive. Tony then complained that he had not received a second payment for me and he needed the money to complete the job. Even though he was only half complete, in order to incent him to finish, I paid him the second payment. At this point I had paid him 85% of the total bill. The next day after having time to cash his payment, he informed me that there was a plumbing problem in the shower that could not be fixed. Because he had piped the shower incorrectly and not installed diverter, when you turned the shower on, water came out of both the shower head and handheld spout. I told him that this was unacceptable, and that he needed to stop making excuses and finish the job. One hour later he called me and rudely stated that he was quitting the job!

Showed up and gave estimate two days after my initial phone call. Offer accepted and he returned 4 days later and completed work in one day working from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. We were very pleased with the results. He stated several times, he stands by his work so if there were any problems, call, and he would return promptly. There were no problems. Looks like an new bathroom.
