"I?m sorry things didn?t turn out the way we hope to achieve. Reason your chimney didn?t look like the one shown in our brochure is because you wanted to do the repair work to your chimney which showed signs of cracks and loose mortars. You were given an estimate for the repair which included installing stainless steel chimney liner, grind/ repoint damage areas only, waterproof entire chimney, and flashing for a total of $3125. Chimney liner and flashing were completed on January 28, 2019. You were very happy with this work which you gave us a 5-star review on HomeAdvisor. Your comments were ?They were prompt, courteous and efficient.? Thank you! Grind/repoint and waterproof were done in the Spring. For your chimney to look like the picture we showed you, it would be a rebuild entire chimney, and the cost for that would be about $10K. This would take care of all the cracks, loose mortars, white paint spots on the chimney, and all the bricks will be in sync from top to bottom. As for the flashing job, I admitted and apologized it was done poorly. I had no problem refunding you for that work. As for the grind/repoint work, I could see my techs didn?t do a thorough job in filling in all the mortars or repaired all the cracks. Thank you for allowing us to go back and fix all of that. I sent 2 guys back and they spent all day grinding and repointing your 20-foot chimney from top to bottom. They sent me pictures of the chimney before they started the job, during work in progress, and after they finished the job. As for the mess on your driveway, I was told the guys tried to hose it down and cleaned it up for you but you didn?t want them to. They even washed your car for you. I kept my communication open all day long to make sure they were doing everything they were supposed to do and that you were happy and satisfied before they walked away. They told me you were so I didn?t think my visit to re-inspect was necessary. If I knew you were still disappointed and not happy with everything that was done, I would have come over immediately. You didn?t let me know until the next day. As a business owner, I tried to make things right with my customers. I don?t like walking away from a job when my customer is not happy with my service. You requested for a full refund because your chimney didn?t look anything like the picture on our brochure. You paid us to repair the damaged areas only and we did just that and more after all said and done. I believe my guys did a wonderful job and your chimney looks great! For that, I don?t think it?s fair to refund you the money. I?m sorry. Your comment about us taking advantage of you was offending to me. I run an honest, reliable, and professional service. I treat ALL my customers with the utmost sincerity, respect, and integrity. I understand the value of hardwork, making a respectable living, and providing & educating my customers about chimney cleaning and safety products. I don?t believe in cutting corners, taking advantage of people, or running a ?shoddy? business. It would be a disgrace to my soul, disservice to my community, and dishonor to my industry. Dave L. "Hi Dave. My name is Pisey. I'm sorry to hear that you felt our technicians were in a rush and that our price was high. We will address this with the techs. As for our cap price, you were only charged a standard cost, nothing extra. You also mentioned we cleaned your chimney previously. Our record shows we had only 1 visit to your home, and that was to inspect and install a cap on Feb. 14, 2019. There was no cleaning. If your record shows something different, please let us know.
