I took the time to research how their duct sealing process works, watched a This Old House video and was confident that this would solve the dust problem in my townhouse. $2000 later, the dust levels have not decreased and they did not provide a refund. I initially sent an email and they didn't reply so I called and was told I would receive a phone call and after a week nobody called so I called AGAIN. All they offered was another cleaning.

This is the second time we hired this company. The first time was 5 years ago when we had this done for the first time. After it was done, we had the burner in the basement cleaned by a burner specialist who was also a good friend. He told us afterwards that the company who cleaned the air ducts did a great job. So, when we needed to have the ducts cleaned again five years later, we called the same company. In the five years the price for the cleaning had gone up $595.00. We have nothing to compare it to. The workers came at the time scheduled. They told us where one of them would start and where the second worker would start. They informed us prior to turning on the machine that there would be a loud noise while they were working. They told us approximately how much time it would take and they cleaned up after themselves. They were polite and professional. We have a four bedroom colonial with a walk up attic. A second unit was in the attic. The Clothes dryer was included in the duct cleaning. I have no idea if the price was excellent as I did not call other companies to compare prices. I hired this company because they did a great job 5 years ago. The increase is price appeared somewhat reasonable given the occurrence of the pandemic and inflation.

Crew arrived on time and walked me through the process. They were very efficient and the job was done quickly. When they were finished you could not tell they were here, no mess at all. I was very much impressed.

Our system was an older system in a home we recently had renovated (still renovating) that has up to eight children at times. The registers had been off during he renovations, and some did not get out back on and some areas needed repairs. It was a task. Aspen was very professional, showed up on time, worked around all the kids messes, toys, clothes, etc. did all the necessary repairs, cleaning and sealing. Provides before and after photos of the trunk lines, vents. We would hire them again and would recommend them to anyone!

The two young women were prompt , polite, very efficient and VERY strong. They did a thorough job and explained what they were doing. Great job!

Good, no complaints - they even found a MASSIVE leak between top of AC coil box and bottom of main trunk from when new AC system was installed 10 years ago (how much $ has that little beauty blown out the window!) The cost of cleaning/sterilization were more than reasonable ($990 - I have a 1400 SF condo) the Aerosealing was a little costly ($2000) but then again, that is how they found the leak, so in the end it was worth it.

The experience in both getting a quote to job completion was excellent. They were reasonably priced. Also there was a very quick turnaround between my first call and the job being done - 2 days in fact. They showed me before and after photos by way of quality check and answered my questions honestly. My ducts hadn’t been cleaned in 15 years so they had quite a job to do which they did professionally and without complaint. They’ve put a sticker on my system to remind me when the ducts need cleaning again which was a nice touch. Can’t recommend highly enough and I will definitely use again. Thanks Aspen!

Well, completed two floors In under one day.

The crew was wonderful. They were careful in my home, thoughtful, worked hard, and talked me through some of the challenges they encountered. The leader of the crew patiently worked on the problem, spending a good deal of time on it, which I appreciated. It turns out that, after trying to seal all of my ducts, that there is a hole somewhere in the wall. So while we didn't get the numbers as low as we might have liked, we did get it down by half and that has made a huge difference in the air quality in my home. I'm so thankful that Balthazar was patient and pushed to get as much coverage as possible!

Update Dec 2020: I'm downgrading to two stars because their Aeroseal jammed up my damper system and burnt out the motor. I had to pay an HVAC company an additional $250 to get the damper system serviced, on top of the $4,000 I already paid for Aeroseal. Get the HVAC cleaning, but skip the Aeroseal. It's expensive, the ROI is fuzzy math and difficult to measure, I saw no improvement in air distribution, and it ruined my damper system, costing me $250 to repair. Summary: The HVAC cleaning was great. The technicians and office staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. But skip the Aeroseal - it's too expensive and difficult to see the results.  We hired Aspen Air to clean the HVAC system in our new house and they did a great job. The sales guy was professional and responsive - he even texted with me, since that was easier than phone. Our house had a smell from the previous owner's pets and after Aspen Air cleaned the smell disappeared and never came back! We're really happy with the cleaning - it was definitely worth it.  However, I wish I'd skipped the Aeroseal. The sales guy convinced me it was worth it and spent a lot of time patiently answering my questions. It was very expensive ($4,000!) for my house but they quote a 3-year payback from lower energy bills. I'm very skeptical of that figure, since I read two independent studies (including one from the Department of Energy) that found only 10-17% energy savings from Aeroseal (see links below).  The month after my house was Aerosealed, my energy bill was the highest it's been since I moved in. The month after that, it doubled from the previous month's record high. Obviously the driver is colder weather and higher heat use. The problem is, since I'm new to my home, I have no energy bill history and can't see what it would've been without Aeroseal. But after two months it definitely doesn't seem like Aeroseal will keep my energy bills low.  During the sales process, they talked a lot about the percent air loss in your system. The sales representative kept throwing out a rough figure of 30% air loss for a house like mine. He suggested that could equate to roughly 30% energy bill savings. However, I still don't know the percent air loss my system had. Before Aeroseal, I had a 180 CFM of air leakage and after Aeroseal it was reduced to 40 CFM. However, I don't know my system's total capacity (the denominator), so I can't tell what percent air loss I had. I asked the Aspen Air lead technician and later their QA guy, but neither knew the answer. That was a little frustrating since I was sold on the concept of percent air loss, and promised they'd measure that number before they Aeroseal, but I never got that figure for my house.    That said, I went in knowing the payback period on Aeroseal would probably be more like 7-10+ years, so instead I focused on the other main benefit: more even air distribution throughout the house. However, the air distribution between my upstairs bedrooms is still pretty uneven. When I let Aspen Air know, they generously sent out a technician (at no cost to me) and found that a damper had gotten stuck during the Aeroseal process. They fixed it and the air distribution improved slightly. But honestly, it's still pretty uneven and feels no different to me than before Aeroseal.  Bottom line with the Aeroseal is it was very expensive and it's hard to see the value. I probably won't break even on it for 7-10+ years and the air distribution across my bedrooms hasn't noticeably improved. They arrived promptly and were efficient. The team was courteous and knowledgeable. They cleaned up after themselves and ended on time. My only negative was the price, which seemed high for 3 hours work and the sealant injection.

They were terrific. This job occurred at the beginning of the COVID crisis and the team was incredibly careful to wear masks and be as unobtrusive as possible. Very professional and attentive.

They showed up on the day and time we agreed upon and did a quality cleaning of the hvac system. But I never received any before or after photos of the vent lines that were part of the contract and was overpriced for 3 and a half hours of time.
