Lester and his team did a great job on our bathroom remodel. He is very detail oriented: the insides of the walls were just as neat and clean as the final finish of the walls, tile, and fixtures. And he was very easy to work with. We hand built a custom cabinet to replace the old bathroom closet. For many contractors, having a homeowner perform part of a remodel could have been difficult for them. Lester took it all in stride and adjusted his workflow to let us do our part. We are very pleased with the final result. We recommend American Bath Works highly and would hire them again in a minute.

This is my 2nd review of ABW regarding renovation of my master bathroom (1st review was for family/guest bathroom). MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE THANKS TO THE AMAZING TEAM AT ABW!!! If you want a truly customized bathroom renovation by a reliable and dedicated team offering reasonable prices, look no further!!! The photos speak for themselves in showing the excellence of their craftsmanship. I have been told by family and friends this is the most beautiful bathroom they've ever seen! 100% RECOMMEND ABW!!!!!

I am SO HAPPY I chose American Bath Works for my bathroom renovation projects!!! Lester, the owner of ABW, has worked closely with me to design my dream bathrooms and provided me multiple custom renderings to visualize the renovated spaces. I received quotes from a couple other remodeling companies who quoted me significantly higher prices for much, much more limited selections. With ABW, you are paying for the labor and related materials (very reasonably priced). The products going into the bathrooms (tile, vanities, tub, showerheads, etc.) you get to shop for/pick out from any store you want - which takes some time on your end but not only leads to the most customization options possible but also leads to HUGE cost savings compared to the limited selections offered by the other companies I received quotes from. Lester will be more than happy to help you with this process; I know it can be overwhelming to pick out stuff individually but trust me it is WORTH IT! (No joke, the other quotes I got - for just one non-master bathroom - totaled an amount nearly equaling the amount I paid ABW for TWO bathrooms, 1 of which is the master). I have attached a photo of the before/after (almost done, see note below) of the 1st bathroom ABW remodeled (they are currently working on a 2nd!). I am in LOVE and everyone who has seen this newly renovated bathroom is amazed by the beautiful work and craftsmanship. Please note: The after photo is really an almost after (the cord under the mirror is gone and the ceiling light/fan is installed, we just need to paint and have the shower door company come install the custom fabricated glass). You can see in the before photo there is a wall/door separating the vanities from the toilet and shower; we had that knocked out so now it's one spacious room! (One of the other companies I got a quote from acted like knocking down that wall was a herculean task that would cost enormous bucks they couldn't calculate on the spot...none of that nonsense with ABW!) Lester will provide you several recommendations for companies to work with (like shower glass door company, bathroom supply, etc), and you ultimately get to decide what works best for you to make your bathroom dreams come true! I CANNOT RECOMMEND ABW HIGHLY ENOUGH!!! Thank you to Lester and the whole crew!!!

We had ABW remodel our laundry/bathroom. It entailed taking everything done to the studs and starting fresh, with new walls and ceilings, floor tile, sink/vanity etc. We were very happy with the results we decided to have another bathroom remodeled, we were very happy with those results - now thinking about a 3rd one :).

From start to finish, we had a great experience with the American Bathworks team. They were prompt, personable, concerned with keeping the worksite and surrounding areas clean, and ultimately finished ontime before we had houseguests arriving. The team made recommendations as needed and explained what to expect. We were impressed with their expertise in all skills needed to take the bathroom down to the studs and joists and build it back up and make it beautiful. We highly recommend American Bathworks.

Lester and his crew did a spectacular job remodeling the shower in my master bathroom. They managed to transform an ugly, cracked insert '70's shower into a beautifully tiled masterpiece! What a difference this made in the overall feeling of my space. Only problem now is that my daughter loves it too much and now takes marathon showers!!! In addition to the shower, they switched out the fixtures on my existing tub and sink and even re-secured a towel rod that had come loose with age. After seeing how nice my upstairs bathroom turned out, I asked if they could also redo some tiles in my downstairs shower. Again, the transformation was beautiful! My remodel experience was painless and Lester's men left the work area spotless. Couldn't ask for a nicer or more professional crew. Would not hesitate to hire them again- highly recommended. It couldn’t have gone better. Stephen Dennis was on time and on budget. He did work that others said couldn’t be done. He did a lot of repairs connected to the remodeling and the results were just what we wanted. He and his assistant are very knowledgeable and neat.

I merely had an idea and a sketch of what I wanted in a master bathroom- Steve and his assistant Dan literally helped me bring my vision to life. They were an absolute pleasure to have around every day, worked hard and took complete pride in every aspect of the project. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident throughout the completed space.

Stephen was very professional in is quotations and very detailed in explaining things. It worked out for both of us as I needed the job done soon and he had an unexpected opening. His workmanship is good and he and Dan were very professional in doing the job and clean up every day.

We very much enjoyed working with Steve. His work was high quality, on time, and in budget. We received quotes from four other contractors who, rather than designing options based on our needs and price point, quoted more lavish designs that not only were far above our price point but also were not suitable for our home. Steve listened to our ideas, gave us ideas of possible improvements and trade-offs and produced a bathroom that perfectly fit our house and our budget and exceeded our expectations. Steve was very respectful, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend him.

We were so worried about our odd designed and poor constructed old and ugly bathroom. It was a challenge to fix it. We were so fortunate to find Steve , his superior expertise in plumbing and contruction along with his professionalism gave us such a relief.  Steve came to our house multiple times and explained the details to us so patiently. He made such complicated job seem simple. Besides outstanding skills , he also paid attention to every detail and he communicated so well with us. We will recommend Steve and Dan to anyone looking to remodel their bathroom.

Steve and his helper did an excellent job on my bathroom renovation.  He really knows his stuff in plumbing and remodeling, and is masterful with tile installation and custom cuts and fits.   I had some specific design wishes, some areas where I wasn't really sure the direction I wanted to go, and  I like to be engaged in the project.   That's a challenging situation for a contractor but Steve obliged my quirks! :)    For specific design choices, my advice is to write it down to be sure customer and contractor are aligned.

The price shown is for labor and construction and plumbing basics only.    All tile, grout, vanities, countertop, shower, door, rough-in valves, trim kits, faucets, etc are provided by the customer.

Update: Steve returned to do the final fixture installs and relocate the washer and dryer after painting was complete.  Completely  disappointed that the washer and dryer do NOT fit in the laundry closet and he claims it was my responsibility to ensure the units would fit and account for dryer hosing, etc.  I have no familiarity with that.   He measured my washer and dryer to verify that they would fit - I was there when he did it - but says he never did so.   So upset to spend $25K on a bathroom renovation and have this problem - ARGH - so upset..   Also, did not allot enough time to hang the mirrors and bath fixtures - I'll have to do that myself.

He was excellent. We actually had him for a quote once but I wasn't happy with the price, way too high so we went with American Bath Works Inc and I would give them an "A" all across the board. He was really good, punctual, gave that we were trying to stay in our budget,  he did a really good job working with us to stay on our budget, made recommendations because we were doing tiling and made recommendations on what would be best so he wouldn't have to charge us more on the types of tiles we may have looked at. He did an excellent job and it's been about a year now. For his work, it cost around 10,000 and for materials, I think we paid for 10,000 included the tub which we wanted to relax. The other people were going to charge us 15 or 18, it sounded like they said they would include stuff but I just wasn't happy with their price. Maybe it would come down but I also thought that this guy is a little more responsive. He paid attention to a lot of detail in the work so it would came out really nice.

As always, Steven's work was perfect.There was no cost because he worked as a sub-contractor on this job.

Steve was great!  Very professional, trustworthy, punctual, down-to-earth guy, good sense of humor.  Steve took our ideas and made them a reality.  He has a lot of experience and we trusted him completely.  Took about three weeks to complete.  We contacted him a few weeks after the job was done to come back and make an adjustment to our water and he returned within days of our request.  We really appreciated that.   He even took it upon himself to patch a hole in a wall in another room--what a bonus!  He is very accommodating and I would hire him again if only I had another bathroom!

I was highly satisfied with both the quality of the work and the process.  Highly responsive and professional.  No complaints!  I would easily hire again for similar work.
