It did not go well!! Built it in the middle of winter, and found out the hard way HE used cheap lumber. Had basically one guy doing the work. All cuts were uneven boards started popping up. Screws split end of boards. When called to replace he took his time coming back, and blamed us for not treating it correctly which was wrong. Boards started to split and rot within two years. Also a post was not even really touching and anchored to concrete only to look that way. To top it off building inspector signed off. We ended up have to get the whole deck torn down and replaced!!!! Never again!! I would not recommend or hire him for anything…

I was referred by a mutual friend.  My house was starting to leak and I had no idea what to do.  A neighbor was outside and he called Glenn for me and told him the story.  Keep in mind everyone has ice dams right now, it's February 2015, the historic winter, and roofers are completely in demand.  However, I have never dealt with this and didn't realize what was going on, so I was woefully under-prepared.  I feel so lucky that I got connected to Glen.  His team showed up exactly when he said they would, they took care of the problem right away.  The work was hard, cold, and they had to be exhausted, but they smiled and were gracious and polite and efficient with the work.
I have not yet paid them for the work, so I can't comment on cost.

Had the roof installed in November of 2003.  Within the first year, there was a significant leak that damaged the ceiling in my tenant's living room.  Glen came evaluated the damage and sent someone to repair the roof and repaint the ceiling.  The roof leaked again 2 years later and 3 additional times since it was installed.
Each time Glen came and said he had fixed it but after 5 leaks in 11 years, I had lost confidence in his ability to fix it.  I recently had
additional insulation put in the attic and it was getting wet each time.
When it was installed, I was told it was guaranteed for 30 years and I only got 11 years out of that roof.  So, I asked Glen to pay a percentage for a new roof.
Glen has refused to agree to this resolution.  Two weeks ago I had a new roof installed by another roofer.
Glen has done other work for me over the years and I was satisfied with his other work but the roof has been a real disappointment.

I first hired Glenn to replace my roof. The work was done on time and to estimate. When I had an ice dam build up a season later, Glenn's team was out there in the ongoing storm to break through it without overly damaging the roof. No charge.
I later hired Crowell construction to gut an unheated breezeway and convert it into a heated mud and laundry room. By far the best money I've spent on my house to date. Glen's team was super friendly and respectful and always showed up when they said they would. The room turned out awesome.
A year or two after that, I had Glenn replace my old cracked wooden basement windows. This was a very quick job, and it was done cleanly and professionally.

Crowell is local and several neighbors have used them with good results. We also used them in the past for gutter replacement. Glenn is responsive. Given that the bids were equal we went with the local guy. The work was completed in three days. The two days they were tearing off old rood happened to be very windy and the old tar paper and shingle fragments were blown in to many neighbors' yards. Nothing the contractor could do to prevent that, but they spent a lot of time after completion of work each day raking and picking up material. They did a great job cleaning up, even though it was frustrating for them.
The roof is complete and done well.

Glenn and his team replaced my back roof for me when I moved into my home in December of 2007. They did a great job and were very professional. I have hired a many people to work on my house and his team although a bit higher than my best quote did a great job and I would hire them again.

Good. They put in a new rubber roof on the balcony and removed the old rotted railing and built a new one.
