Capuano Construction

I highly recommend Capuano Construction for their masonry work. The men who did the work were polite and efficient, and did a great job of managing around all the rain we've had this fall. The work itself is top quality. And, wonder of wonders, my invoice was several thousand dollars less than the original quote!

Exceeded our expectations. The wall is in the front of the house and probably paid for itself with improved curb appeal. The wall is beautiful and complements an existing wall in the front. It's a fieldstone wall and the selection of stones and the way they are put together to make the wall is amazing. The workers and the sub contractors were neat and clean. They did not make any excess noise and were very considerate of us and the neighbors. The masons worked in 100 degree heat and got the job done. Our neighbors complement us on the beautiful wall and the considerate and neat folks that built it. Thanks to Capuano for a great job.

Many problems after the first masonry contractor incorrectly did the job, such as by not building the chimney to the correct height.  No problems since Larry did the job, despite strong winds, downpours, etc.  Also, unlike the other contractor's workers, Larry didn't leave sand all over the driveway and debris on the lawn.  Further, Larry backs his work, whereas, at least in this instance, the first masonry contractor didn't back his work and/or didn't know how to correctly do the job.

Larry and and his team did a great job raising the height of our chimney 14' that was necessary due to renovations. They did the entire job in the middle of winter in about a week. That included staging and scaffolding as well as heating the bricks/mortar to make sure they dried correctly and acid washing the new bricks to match the old. The job looks great. incidentally, $2,300 of the job was for the winter conditions alone (heat and wrap). I would definitely use them again.

His work is superb and was completed in plenty of time ahead of the other contractor's scheduled work. We look forward to hiring Larry again, whenever we have future masonry or concrete projects.

They were very good.  My experience with them was terrific.  They were very responsive.  They came when they said they will be here.  They were right on budget.  I changed my order that was very fair.  The people were always polite and cleaned up after themselves.

Part of wall fell and original motar washed away. I called, he came and repaired the wall and cleaned the sidewalk

It was an excellent job. I would suggest this provder because they were quick, down-to-earth, and honest.

It went fine. The owner, Larry Capuano, and 2 workers came when scheduled. The 2 workers finished the job the same day and thoroughly cleaned up afterward. They even did a minor repair on my basement door.

He was extremely fast and completed the job in 2 days which I thought would take at least four days. He had suggestions on what to do, especially for the paved area, which we had not thought of and which worked beautifully. Without even our asking him to do it, he repointed the brick under the porch because it needed it. He just went ahead and did it and included in the price.

Efficient.  Quality work.  There is no water coming into my basement.  Job was cleanly done even with the required extensive digging and breaking up the old concrete walkway.

Work was delayed several times due rain, but that was no fault of the contractor. Once it was started, it was done in two days. The chimney looks great and we are happy we hired Capuano.

Larry was very responsive.  We got 5 bids.  His bid was neither the highest nor the lowest, but I felt comfortable with him.  He was the only bidder who told me that, until he tore down the old stairs, he didn't know whether we needed new footings.  Every other bidder priced the job as if we needed new footings.  It turns out we did not need new footings.  His crew worked really hard - were there every day until the job was completed.  They built a new set of stairs using stones with bluestone treads along with a paver walkway.  It looks beautiful and would definitely have them back for additional work.

Mr. Capuano set up an appointment to view the cracks in the foundation. He determined that just the approximately  5 foot by 5 foot area that was damaged needed repair. He and his crew arrived on time, chiseled out the old mortar, filled in with new material and cleaned up nicely. Larry was also kind enough to tell my husband that moving the direction of the downspout away from the front of the house would keep the water from coming in again.
