Dave and Scott worked on my job and my next door neighbor's front steps simultaneously from August 7-21. They demolished my massive, crumbling brick stairway (10 steps) from sidewalk to front door which took about a week. Dave built 4 steps and a landing with fieldstone to match my stone retaining wall that he built 20 years ago. He also repaired the old wall which had been damaged by weather over the years. He gave me exactly the look I wanted and worked well with the carpenter who is going to build wood steps from the landing up to the door. Dave was punctual, neat, responsive, does excellent work, and is a pleasure to work with.

We have a 100' driveway and the last 4' were cracking.  We decided to repair the driveway with a combination of a decorative 12' x 4' granite strip along with new asphalt near the street.  This meant that we had to work with two different contractors: David Nyren as the mason and Asphalt Engineering to replace the asphalt. 
David was a great advisor. He helped us pick out the types of granite (Woodbury thermal + Caladonia thermal) and designed a pattern that is both durable and looks great.  David has a strong attention to detail and over the course of a few days installed a quality product with a deep foundation, rebar support, and granite pavers that will last the weather and heavy delivery trucks. 
He started on time and finished ahead of schedule. 
His pricing was fair and reasonable; I believe I could have hired someone else and paid less, but not when you consider the quality of materials, do it the right way attitude, and his attention to detail. 
We are very happy and highly recommend David!

Dave is definitely an A; he is reliable and an excellent mason. I will use him again in the future.

David dug out part of our sloping front lawn, installed drainage, and built the fieldstone wall. It's still beautiful and perfectly straight 16 years later. Meanwhile, a similar wall my neighbor had built by someone else at about the same time has fallen down. I would hire David again. He was very professional and worked quickly.

He gave me an estimate and start date which he held to , was pleasant , showed up everyday until the job was complete (3 weeks), was cautious of the plantings around the patio and did a great job on clean up . When i was getting prices it wasn't clear what needed to be done to repair the patio so comparing estimates and each masons idea of how to approach the problem was difficult but i felt that David had the experience to do the job and i wasn't disappointed .

Everything was excellent. He was an absolute perfect contractor to work with. He came out, gave us a quote and went over what he was going to do. It was kind of a tricky wall to work with because it was a retaining wall as well, but he did a wonderful job. I am very pleased with the work.
