Begin Subcontracting

Hired Matt at Begin Subcontracting for a variety of carpentry projects. His skills, timing, and communication were exceptional. The multiple projects were performed on a timely basis and craftsmanship of the outmost quality. I would hire Matt for future projects.

Matt was very responsive and friendly. He listened to what we wanted and provided excellent service. I highly recommend him and we have employed him several times for different projects.

Matt did a great job installing a tiled kitchen back-splash. He paid great attention to detail, and even suggested improvements that made more work for him, at no extra cost to us. Unlike some other contractors we reached out to, Matt's communication was excellent; he got back to us us quickly and was always helpful. We cannot recommend Matt highly enough.

Did really good job at my house

I contacted HomeAdvisor to locate a contractor to remove the existing tile from our kids bathroom and install new tile and baseboards. I was connected with Matt and from our first phone conversation to develop the estimate through the finish of the project Matt was incredibly professional. His work was prompt, clean, detailed, and exceeded my expectations, especially for such a small project. Matt is the type of contractor that you feel lucky to find by accident and wish you had more projects to keep him around!

This was the first time we used Begin Subcontracting. Matt came out to the house to assess the project, was professional, polite, and gave a reasonable quote. He worked to get the project done before Christmas and did so. We were very pleased with the end result and will not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

Took a little time to actually book the appointment, but at least Matthew stayed in contact while I waited. Once we set a date, he was prompt, polite and did great job. He was well worth the wait.

Matthew was pleasant to talk you, but has not been responsive to my attempts to contact him to address a problem that has come up and to schedule completion of the rest of the work that we have agreed to.

Mathew installed backsplash in our kitchen. Mathew did excellent work from start to finish, was a true professional, and finish the task on time and with-in budget. He made sure the whole process was smooth and stress-free for us. I would hire Mathew again without any reservations, and would highly recommend him.

Matthew is a great young professional. I hired him to replace a tile floor in a bathroom. I wanted one person for the entire job- removing toilet/reinstalling. Additionally- he replaced a sink faucet- and was able to fix an unforeseen plumbing complication. His pricing is very reasonable. He is nice, responsive - and I will certainly use him for other projects. Highly recommended!

Matthew was a great find. He replaced an old ugly glued down vinyl bathroom floor and replaced it with beautiful porcelain tiles. His price was better than right. He was on time. He is a very nice, polite, professional young man who we would hire again in the future if needed for other projects. My Landlord was very happy with his work as well. A good honest contractor is hard to find these days and I hope he doesn't get lost in the crowd of the not so good ones. You Rock Matthew!

Matthew was prompt and very courteous. He asked about areas of special concern and was so thorough that he even power washed an area hidden by an overhang on the back porch. I would certainly recommend him to others.

Matthew was great to work with, he listened and took the time to understand exactly what was needed and then did what he what he said he was going to do. In addition to the initial exterior work he did, we asked him to build a custom pediment over our front door. He once again exceeded our expectations and the pediment is proportional to the house. We would highly recommend Begin Subcontracting to anyone looking for a great carpenter that is very reliable and provides high quality work.
