I originally called three different "A" level plumbers to quote on the job.  Whites was the only of the three companies that actually surveyed the whole house and measured the lengths of each heating radiator to get an idea of our energy needs for the conversion (The other two companies simply threw out a BTU number based on the original output of our very old oil furnace).

Although we had a difficult time getting the gas company to place the line from the street (which had nothing to do with Whites' work) it caused a significant delay before Whites could do the job.  However they still honored the original quote (after more than half a year).

Although they told me that it would take a couple of days to do the whole conversion and have gas for heat and hot water I was very skeptical (thinking it would take a week or more).  However, they were right and it only took two days!

They were kind, professional and really cared about doing things the right way. They came by earlier than expected. Before installing the water heater, they discovered that I had a venting system issue where I could have been leaking Carbon Monoxide into the house. I was impressed with their level of professionalism. They really know what they are doing. I would definitely do business with the again.

They came a little earlier than the time they quoted.  The dad and sons went right to work installing my gas boiler. I must say these guys really know there business very well. I felt very comfortable with there service .They left the basement cleaner than when they arrived. And I will definitely call them again. It's very nice to know there's still some good people out there that are not trying to rip you off.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Truly great service and quality, from start to finish. We were referred to White's from National Grid when we contacted NG about an oil-to-gas conversion. We got a quote from White's and also from three other companies. White's was within the ballpark or lower than the other companies, but their customer-oriented approach, knowledge, and friendliness could not be matched. Tom and Brian White were a pleasure to work with. They answered all of our (many) questions and explained everything patiently and in detail at every step of the process; we really appreciated understanding how all of the equipment worked. They were on top of the steps that needed to happen with the gas company and were also very knowledgeable and helpful with the rebates associated with the conversion and high-efficiency equipment. They were very considerate, clean, and efficient during the install. Everything has been working beautifully since the install; we love our new heating system! I cannot recommend White's highly enough. They were truly great - I wish all contractors were as courteous, professional, and easy to work with. I also loved that the same team did everything from the quote through install. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and will continue to recommend them.

I contacted White's Plumbing when we needed new hot water heaters because they had installed our furnaces years ago and we were very happy with that job. Tom White was very responsive. We made an appointment for him to inspect the water heaters and give me a quote. The quote was mid-range in terms of what I have seen on other reports, and it was lower than another quote I got from a different plumber. In the end, I chose to go with White's because the price was reasonable and we had been very happy with their service before. On the day of the job, they showed up on time and completely the work pretty quickly. Things seem fine with the water heaters and we are satisfied again.

He was on time, went straight to work and took care of the oil burners. A very friendly and kind man who knows his business well. I felt very comfortable with his service and will definitely call him again. It's very nice to know there's still some good people out there that are not trying to cheat you.

Not cheap, but excellent workmanship.
