Stephen Walsh Painting

Very very well. Stephen Walsh has an experienced, professional crew who were proud of doing a good job. They did a very thorough job of preparation, much better than average. They brushed on the paint, which makes it adhere better. Yet the price was very reasonable. This is a superior painting service. I had to wait to get them, but it was worth it. Highly recommended!

Stephen completed the job in a timely and professional manner.  When I notice that something had been overlooked, he took care of it immediately.  The grounds were cleaned up after the project had been completed and no trash or debris had been left behind.  I would not hesitate to use or recommend his services in the future.

I am glad I hired Stephen Walsh Painting.  He returned my calls promptly, and gave me an estimate shortly thereafter.  I had hoped the painting could be done in June, and as I had hoped for, it was. Additionally I changed my mind about color a couple of times before the start date, which was not a problem (but could have been with some painters). My condo looks beautiful. 
The entire process took 3 days which I found amazing. He and his staff were prompt, began work early (which I prefer), and were professional. All floors and furniture were covered, window treatments removed, and even my TV which was installed above the fireplace was removed and taken care of. The painters were excellent, hardworking, and careful.  These men are professional painters. They have steady hands and good eyes. They clean up after themselves and are considerate when in your home. There were 12 windows and 3 doors to paint as well. They basically come in , prep all areas at once and then get to work. It is always a little painful for me to have work done in my home ( I love results more than process), but these were the most efficient painters I have ever hired.  
My project began on a Thursday and was finished on Saturday!  I really appreciated having the project completed prior to starting my work week on Monday. I plan to hire Stephen Walsh Painting again and am relieved to have found a company I trust. 

We have used Stephen Walsh for three different interior jobs over the past four years, and have had excellent results in all cases.  Over the course of these jobs, Stephen's crew has painted about 8 rooms in our house.  Stephen and his team are consummate professionals, from start to finish.  Stephen is meticulous in defining the scope of his work and documenting it meticulously in the bid, so that there are never misunderstandings or surprises.  And his crew does beautiful work. 
The biggest surprise to us has been the amount of preparation that his team does.  We live in a very old house, and the walls and woodwork were in need of substantial prep.  Well, his team does thorough and beautiful prep!  While my husband and I have done our share of painting over the years, we have come to understand through watching Stephen's crew what it means to do a quality job at painting.  And the end results have been perfect.
 
This is not a company that bids the lowest price, but we believe that you get what you pay for, and we have gotten our money's worth on every job he has done for us.  (Please note that the Approximate Cost listed was for the most recent job of the three jobs that Stephen has done for us.)
 
Last comment . . . When you are opening your home to painters or other contractors, you hope that the team will be easy to have around.  Well, Stephen's crews have always been great.  They are pleasant and non-intrusive and take great pride in their work.  We are always happy to have them in our house.

When I called Stephen for a quote, he was able to come review my project within a week, and provide me with an estimate within a couple of days. I had received 4 quotes, and his was right in the middle, but much more detailed than any of the others, so I felt that his would be more accurate! He also asked me a number of things I hadn't even thought about, again giving me confidence I was getting a comprehensive estimate.
Stephen reached out to me as the start day got closer, and his crew were able to start on time. From the beginning, they were extremely professional, and to my surprise extraordinarily neat! They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, so living in my house during this work wasn't nearly as impossible as I had thought it would be.
Once it was done, I was totally amazed by the quality of the work, and how perfect my 2nd floor now looks. My project took a couple of days extra and cost 4% above estimate, because there was more extensive wall repair necessary once the wallpaper was removed and I made a couple of changes, all of which we discussed along the way. I was really happy with the level of communication from Stephen about changes to my project, and potential impacts to the time/cost. I felt like I was totally in control of the project from start to finish, which I've never felt working with a contractor or painter before. All in all, I would highly recommend S. Walsh Painting for their services. I'm planning to use them again for my front porch, closet & downstairs bathroom project later this year.
