I also liked the technician. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and showed me where my power kill switch was when I said that I could replace the alarms myself. It ended up being a 15-minute service call, which was great--I thought it wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg. HOWEVER...
When I got the bill in the mail, it was billed for 1.5 hours and about $180 dollars. I thought it must be a typo, and that they'd meant 15 MINUTES. So, I called. The person who deals with billing wasn't there. I called several times, on different days, before finally getting through to the billing person. She then told me that they billed me for the TIME IT TOOK THE TECHNICIAN TO DRIVE TO MY HOUSE--from the previous client! I understand a traveling fee, because I'm self-employed and charge one, but this was beyond ridiculous. I was charged 1 1/4 hours of travel time and 15 minutes of work time. I specifically called this company because they're in Medford and I'm in Cambridge! Anyway, the billing person told me she would and quot;look into itand quot;, and 2 weeks later, I haven't heard anything back. I would never use this company again, or recommend it to anyone.
"Hey Member, I was just wondering if you knew exactly when the dates of our service were, and the names of our workers. We don't have you on file for doing any $30,000 residential house work to your Wrentham home. And since you had such a bad experience, we would like to get this all figured out to prevent future one. Thank you"
