Response to the response: yes, it's true, the person I co-own the house with has been the main contact person and the one making most of the calls. I did call them once (when we hadn't heard from them for a week after they'd cashed our deposit) and was told that my name and number had been added to the project, but it appears that was something else that got lost in the shuffle. Oh, and it's been my name on all the checks, which they seem to keep excellent track of, unlike their list of pending work.
However, the fact that I wasn't the one that usually called does not negate the fact that my housemate has had to call them over and over again to get any kind of action out of them. They have also denied getting calls from her when speaking to her, so I'm not surprised that they deny getting them when responding here. I guess that's another minus -- not only do you have to call them over and over, they don't even know when you've called!
"We at Medford Engineering strive every day to provide excellent service to our customers. As such, it was a surprise to read this complaint from the member. as he is not even on our client list. Upon researching the situation further, we found that he is associated with another client with whom we have been in contact by phone. Not once did we receive any communication from the member--not one phone call was made to our office by him. Yes, we did go to the property twice, three times in fact. This is not unusual practice. Every site plan that we do conforms to Massachusetts General Laws. Condo conversions require as-built conditions which is what necessitated our return to the property. To our knowledge prior to seeing this complaint, we were awaiting further instructions from our client. Had we been aware of the member's involvement and time requirements, we would have met them. I look forward to discussing this with the member. Our office number is 781-396-4466. Sincerely, Chuck Veneziano, Principal, Medford Engineering & Survey"
