Found Tim Mallon on bbb.org with an 'A' rating. Of the three plumbers who gave us quotes, he was in the middle on experience (the most experienced guy didn't do heating), but the most professional acting and gave us the most detailed quote sheet saying what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. Soon after we closed in June, he started work, bright and early in the morning - he came earlier than stated if anything. He came himself with an assistant to do the work. The problem came in mid July when we were going to get our appliances (dishwasher and gas range) purchased and installed by him - and he dropped off the face of the earth, stopped returning phone calls, emails. Just gone. I don't know what his specific problem with us was - he never told us! A certified letter sent to his address was received with his signature but never responded to. As he was being paid by our bank via an escrow account, we can't close out our escrow and refinance our loan until he signs a lien waiver saying he's done. He did good work, initially, and I wish I knew what happened.
