The job got off to a rocky start due to delay in getting the permit due to the building department but once his crewed started they made good progress.
The job took ~7weeks start to finish - the first two weeks were reinforcement of the existing 3rd floor framing (sister joists etc.), after that they rolled right into the framing of the dormers and stairs. They made every effort to protect the house from the elements. There was a delay toward the end on getting the windows in, but other then that the project was pretty flawless.

They kept us updated on progress and ask appropriate questions to get clarification before proceeding.
They were very conscious of keeping things clean and disrupting us as little as possible.
All in all, a great experience for a large project. I would highly recommend Bob.

Very professional ans easy to work with. Very competitive quote (we shopped around and received about 10 different quotes). He will do exactly what you ask him to do allowing you to finish the inside, resulting into a very competitive price. For this you need to be a handy person or subcontract others for the inside (plumbing may be the most expensive, especially in those old cape houses). At the end  we were able to build a complete second floor bath for less than 18000.
He's busy, so you'll need to wait some time for your project to start.

Bob's and his team were fantastic--especially Bob taking the time to inspect the house structure before giving an estimate, walking us through the process and addressing any questions during the process--we adjusted the size of one room before the framing.  He is incredibly thorough, polite--and the final result exceeded all expectations.

It is impossible to put into words how happy we are with Bob Terenzoni and his crew.  Bob is an absolute expert when it comes to building dormers.  His work and his attention to detail are fantastic, and he is one of the nicest gentlemen you will ever meet.

We first contacted Bob about our project over a year ago, and he helped us come up with a design that would work for us (adding a master bedroom, bathroom and a large family room on the third floor of a two-family house).  Bob was quick to get back to us with what we thought was a very fair quote for the amount of work.  He also warned us that getting a permit in our town could take a long time.  He was right - it took us nearly a year to get a building permit.  Bob was helpful and patient throughout the entire process, giving us great advice on how to make things go as smoothly as possible.

We finally began construction in mid-December.  From start to finish, Bob's work was done in about three weeks.  He constructed a temporary wall in our living room to keep debris and dust our of our living space (we have two small children), and he constructed some light scaffolding so that he and his crew didn't even need to enter through our living space.  Not a single piece of construction material ever entered our house through the front door, which was great.

Because of the size of the dormer we built and the slope of the roof, Bob could use his patented "roof lifting" system on our job - too bad, because it looks pretty cool.  Bob checked the weather constantly before he actually removed our roof and replaced it with a temporary, weather-tight tarp.  This unfortunately coincided with a night when 50-mph wind unexpectedly swept through the area.  With the tarp billowing in the wind and crashing down on our house (although it never broke loose), my wife finally convinced me to call Bob at 4:15 am.  When he picked up the phone, Bob told me that he was already up, and would be over in 15 minutes.  By 4:30 am,  Bob was in our attic clamping down the tarp to make sure it would hold - and it did.

Three weeks later, we have had our final framing inspection and Bob's portion of the job is done.  He does not do any of the finish work himself, but he has been great about suggesting names of people he has worked with in the past.

I can't say enough good things about Bob and his company.  Our only regret is that we don't have another attic for him to build a dormer on.  I truly wish that all contractors were as professional, competent and kind as Bob Terenzoni.  If you are thinking about doing a dormer addition, I think you would be crazy to hire anyone else.

Bob and his crew were a great pleasure to work with.  They showed up everyday, worked very hard to get the job done, and worked hard to make it right.  Once we went back and forth a number of times to fine tune the job, it went with very few changes or alterations.  Being an "artist" in his field, Bob has a great way of bringing out the best in the work.  There were no unexpected surprises, but some nice features came from a collaborative way of working.  Contact with Bob was consistent - we had a routine of touching base everyday at the same time to review the progress of the job.  He was always solution oriented, open-minded and simply a pleasant presence to have on a project as big as this one was.  His crew reflected the same mentality and work ethic.  We wish there were more people like Bob in the contracting field.  It would give the trade an outstanding reputation.

Bob and his crew replaced the roof and gutters on our house. We also used them for some of the work on an attic renovation. Initially we thought we would put on a dormer, but ultimately decided not to. Bob installed new windows and skylights, reinforced the joists and installed a new sub-floor. Bob was always a calm voice of reason and good advice. We did part of the job ourselves (insulation) and Bob was flexible on timing when we were somewhat slow in our decisions. He helped us address an ice dam issue over a window too. His price was reasonable and the quality good. Bob was a pleasure to work with.

Bob was very nice and knowledgeable about what he was to do. We were impressed with him and he was a friendly face throughout the project. The job was done in less than a week exactly as planned and we were happy with the outcome. You could not do better than working with Bob Terenzoni and High Tech dormers. Great guy and all you could hope for. A+

Great. We recently moved, and used Bob at our old house as well. Again, we were not disappointed. He only does dormers and roof lifting and is unbelievably efficient, allowing him to keep his costs much lower than other contractors we got estimates from. Furthermore, the quality of his work is flawless. he is truly a specialist. Came in under cost, and right on time. We had our last dormer installed about 7 years ago and never had a problem with it. In both cases he was very responsive to our idea and had creative suggestions about how to make things work best for us. A very nice guy and easy to work with.

This job was a couple of years in the making due to the need to obtain a zoning variance and then schedule the work. HTD worked with us over this whole time. They were extremely helpful with all the pre-construction tasks, flexible in their arrangements, and very easy to work with. When we were ready to do the work there were some delays in getting started as their previous job took longer than they expected, but once we did start they were here every day and worked hard the whole time. Work this summer was difficult due to the weather and they had to be creative about what to do when. Over the whole time they were professional, thorough, careful, and did really excellent work. They also improved the outcome by making suggestions as the job went along. Overall I think their pricing was very fair. We did add some items during the course of the project and they priced them reasonably and always waited for our authorization before proceeding with anything that changed the cost. We enjoyed working with Bob and all of the people who work for him, they're a great crew -- they really know what they're doing, and they do excellent, professional work.

It went quite well. Bob stuck with us through the long permitting process. When it came time to do the work, the guys did a great job and were very responsive to questions and input. When there was a problem with shingle coloring Bob was willing to replace the work that was done with no charge. I was also impressed at the speed of their work. We original decided to go with High Tech because of they use a lifting technology to avoid having to rebuild the entire roof. This is impressive to see and also saved a lot of materials. Overall it was a great experience. The only minor complaint I have is that they could have taken a few extra precautions to make cleanup of roofing material a bit easier since we still occasionally find bits of roofing material in the lawn, but this is pretty minor and they did come back for an overall cleanup once the job was done.

THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE. THEY DID START THE JOB A LITTLE LATE, BUT THEY DID FULFILL THEIR CONTRACT. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.
