My experience with this company was excellent. I had originally called three companies for estimates, but this company called back the same day, which I appreciated. They came out and did an excellent job. They cleaned up well afterwards. So far, I see no leaks in the garage roof, so I'm a pretty happy camper. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in my area.

Adail and his crew did an excellent job on our house! I've worked with contractors where we've had issues and others where things have gone smoothly. However, Adail is the first (and will maybe be the only) contractor that I actually enjoyed working with (I find doing house work very stressful)! He has to be one of the most agreeable, friendliest people I've ever met. My neighbors would keep telling me, "your roofing guy is so nice!". There were a few minor hiccups in the job. Part of the house needed to be re-shingled and Adail's wood worker had recently been injured. Another member of his crew did the work and it was crooked. Adail also noticed that it was crooked and immediately fixed it himself the next day. We were also not happy with the sheen of the paint after seeing the first coat (it was semi-glossy and we wanted matte). Without any complaint, Adail bought the matte paint and used that instead. It was so nice to have a contractor who wasn't always on the defensive and would happily address issues that we found. Working with Adail was relaxing and enjoyable, something I never expected to say about getting house work done. We are very happy with the end product and would definitely use him again. (our house is ~1500 square feet and has a simple roof)

It took a couple calls to get through to Adail, but we spoke to him reasonably quickly. He came out to look within a day or two and said what I had thought, that the previous work was bad. He recommended stripping that area and re-doing shingles in that area, as well as sealing around the vent pipe. He also recommended putting flashing up around our other chimney. He said he was busy, but indicated he could get out in a couple of weeks. He admitted his price might be slightly higher than what we'd see from some people, but that he didn't skimp on the work. His price was slightly higher, but not more than ~10% over what others had quoted. We agreed to the work that day. This was on a Friday, and it happened to rain over the weekend and we got additional leaking. I messaged Adail to let him know about this and inquired about a vent cap for the chimney. We spoke briefly on Tuesday about this as well, and he said he wasn't sure it would need it. Rain was forecast for Thursday and Adail called me on Wednesday morning to say his previous job was cancelled and asked if we'd like to have the work done that day. Since I was having some other work done at the same time, I was home and he came out that day. I can only say good things about the work he did. He added a vent cap at no additional charge, replaced the roofing, added flashing to our chimney, and said he noticed that the cap of our roof was done wrong and did that work as well (also not charging extra). We had a pretty big storm on Thursday and had no leaking. While a bit informal in communication, he explained clearly all the work he did, and while I'm not an expert, he did extremely good work. He also coordinated with the other contractors that were out that day (adding a lining to our chimney) so as not to interfere with their work. His speed in getting this work done also meant a lot to us.

Excellent job with fine crew removing old roof and installing new in late 2014. Called back recently for minor leak. Adail checked out location and, though it appears to be caused by recent plumbing work beyond his control, will repair.

Great!! Big old house with lots of different dormers, turret etc. They took their time and did an excellent job!

The job went very well. Workers were punctual, worked full days every day - even on 90° days- and cleaned up each day. Adail, the manager always answered my questions and was very professional. With both the new roof and house painting, any rotted wood found was removed and replaced. I found the work done was excellent and the workers professional. I would recommend this company to any one.

AAB is a really great roofing company. They came out, gave a timely and fair quote, very competitive pricing versus other roofers. I actually got about 6 quotes, but what I liked most about them was their attention to details. I have a flat roof that had a lot of low spots on it, Mr Bastos raised up certain sections of the roof to prevent these low spots. He also noticed some other details that needed to be taken care of, and discovered that the old rubber roof was put down ontop of a tar and gravel roof. His crew removed both the roofs and cleaned everything up and did it right. I don't think you will be disappointed in AAB Roofing and Painting.

I would strongly recommend AAB Roofing and Painting. Mr. Bastos responded quickly to my request for an estimate. He came to view the work that needed to be done at the scheduled time. He was very pleasant and professional when we met. He answered all my questions or concerns and I received an estimate within 24 hours. Mr. Bastos and his crew arrived on the date and time that we had agreed on and completed the work in a timely manner. Mr. Bastos showed me pictures of the work that was done on my roof which I appreciated since i could not climb on the roof myself. He also noticed some windows that needed to be caulked and did the work without an extra charge. His crew also repaired an area of aluminum siding that had fallen off and made some new corner pieces to replace some missing pieces. There have been several strong rainstorms since the new porch roof was installed and there are no signs of leaking.

I felt the work was done to the highest standards. Good communication and work was completed on time. I would definitely use this company again.

Adail was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. I was getting an estimate for soffit and gutter repair and he noticed that a previous roofer had failed to tape down the rubber porch roof to the drip edge and water was getting into the beam below. (A fact I confirmed with a different roofer whose estimate I did not use). That alone will save us money and damage in the future. All the repairs were down in a day and they look great. Would definitely hire again.

AAB roofing just completed my roof. I got 3 bids and this company was the lowest with the Angies list discount ($10,300). The other roofers prices ranged from $11,200 to $11,600. I did not choose this company him because of the lower price, but because he appeared to be and is very conscientious, taking care of all the small details even ones that were not included in the scope of work but were discovered during the job. He has a small crew of experienced professionals which he works closely with. I spoke to some roofing companies who brag that they have 10 roofers show up, remove and put on a roof in 1 day. This did not sound like a good thing to me. Plus AAB only does roofs. The other companies said the code called for putting weather shielding on the first 6 feet at the edge of the roof. AAB puts the weather shielding over the entire roof (this is what is done in FL to protect roofs against hurricanes). After the snow we had in 2014-2015, I wanted the extra roof protection. AAB’s price was better and they put on a more secure roof. In addition, they removed 2 layers of shingles, added a ridge vent, adding proper ventilation, updating old vents with better vents. He added many extras, such as chimney vent. I had some dry rot on the fascia boards that was replaced, and he regrouted two chimneys from the roof line up that were in need of repair. He even rented a larger dumpster as I wanted to clean my basement out. He spent extra time and care flashing and sealing around the chimneys as my previous roofer was unable to do that properly. He uses huge tarps to limit debris getting on the ground and does a thorough clean up. He even cleaned up all the leaves in the driveway that I had not done yet. If you want the job done correctly with someone who backs their work, I couldn’t imagine going with any other company. I would hire again, and recommend to others.

Initial call was returned promptly within a few hours. Adail came out the next day for an initial look, and a followup visit a few days later. We agreed on the quote and he and his team were able to start the next day. All work was completed in two days. They did a great job and did extra work at no charge (secured roof railing, patched extra hole). They cleaned the place up great when finished. No complaints! I'll definitely use them again for any roof/chimney work.

It went great. I used AAB Roofing in the past so I expect great work and service, and once again Adail (the owner) delivered. AAB had installed a new roof for my house and garage about a year ago and we met to discuss my new situation which was leaking gutters. Once again he and his men were neat, respectful, and did a great job. I plan to hire him again this year to install coil stock around my windows. Adail is a contractor that you can hire without worries. He always answers the phone or responds via text or phone call as soon as he has a chance. I recommend him without reservation.

I need flashing and a chimney cap. AAB Roofing seems to do both. I called and left a message on their answering machine on November 11. Today is November 18. I have not heard from them. Very disappointing and very unprofessional.

I rarely write reviews on social media, but I would be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to say what an absolutely fantastic job AAB Roofing did on our home. Fifteen years ago we put a new roof on our first home, and it was a complete disaster; the roofer we chose then was sloppy and unprofessional throughout. When we realized our current home needed a new roof we prepared ourselves for the worst. We couldn't have been more wrong. AAB was professional from the outside. They were prompt in replying to our questions and proved us with a fair, clear estimate. What really separated AAB for any other home improvement service providers we've used was the incredible effort they made to keep the work area clean. I came home after their first day on the job and my first thought was that they had not started because the yard was so clean --- but they had already torn off half the roof and re-shingled it! The owner was on-site every day, and our yard was spotless at the end of every day. I simply could not recommend AAB more highly. - Sean McRae

Adail came by for an estimate, I had just purchased the home and was hoping to get away with just some patching on missing and broken shingles but no such luck. Deep down I knew the roof needed to be replaced anyway. Job was new roof with repairs to boards as needed, trim, vents, soffits etc. Adail has got the be the friendliest and most meticulous contractor I have worked with. Up front about everything and extremely responsive to any inquiry he went out of his way to make sure the job got done exactly as we contracted it. Every detail was accounted for and the end result looks *amazing*. The job was scheduled a month out and started right when he said it would. It was quoted for 5 days to complete but Adail's crew of 4 guys banged it out in 3 days for the exact amount we agreed upon. no extra charges. O and another thing is they completely cleaned the jobsite every night, made it a lot easier with the neighbors as we needed their driveway access for one side of the house. I dont want to leave out the crew here, these guys were the best, courteous and totally professional. They seem to really know how to fix a roof and make a client happy. In my opinion Adail and his crew are the guys you want to talk to if you need your roof done right.

First, let me start by stating that I seldom right reviews but felt compelled to right one this time. Replacing the roof is a HUGE project. It's one of the larger investments you make on your home and one of the most important. Given the life of shingles these days its likely you will only do it once. I set out on this project to find a contractor that would do a high quality job, not cut corners, and not take advantage of my wallet. All three of these were equally important especially the 'not cutting corners' as that infers trust. I met with about five contractors whom had similar comparisons except for one whom stood out from the rest. Yes, that was Adail. Adail and his team were a pleasure to work with right from the beginning. During the proposal phase, he showed me the materials he would use to which I reviewed on the web and found all to be the best quality. He also explained everything in detail and met with me several times to review the project. Adail even brought over several color samples. Like the others, Adail knew how to roof and I felt would perform a quality job at a fair price. Its Adail's personality and assurances to not cut corners which won my trust to move forward. On the job, Adail and his team worked hard and did not disappoint. They removed all shingles, replaced rotted boards, ran ice and water over the whole roof. They also properly reworked the chimney and the dormers. For the dormers, this included removing the cedar siding, put down ice and water, re-flashing, and putting on new cedar siding to ensure a water tight seal. Adail installed power vents and helped the plumber install new vent pipes. They protected the house and kept a very clean workspace - as much as roofers could do. The time to complete the roof was longer than most companies as Adail uses a smaller team that he trusts and has worked with for several years vs subcontracting an army of strangers to do the roof in one day. Although it took longer it allowed us to see the progress each step of the way and ensure corners were not being cut. The whole time, Adail and his team had a smile and were courteous to our family AND the neighbors. In the end, we have a fabulous looking roof which should keep our family dry and secure for decades ahead. If we have a problem, which I doubt we will, I know we can count on Adail to be right there to take care of it. I highly recommend working with Adail and his team on your most important roofing project.

Very poor responsiveness and lack of call back and follow ups. He does not show up on the dates that he said he would show up. I am frustrated with the time wasted dealing with him just to get a proper estimate done.

What our agreement consisted of: Protect side of house and landscaping, strip roof of house and detached 3-car-garage, replace rotted wood where necessary, install ice and water shield (all the way up to top of roof), install ridge vents and caps and four louvered vents, install drip edges, architectural shingles on pitched portions of roof (steeper pitch than normal), and rubber on flat portions of roof. Replace two pipe boots and flash around chimney. Clean up each day, work every day - weather permitting (the job took about 7 1/2 days), make other related repairs and improvements as necessary to roof, fascia, and gutter system. Answer all of my calls and texts promptly, provide attention to detail. Once the job was complete clean up so that no one can tell that you were there. I recommend Adail without reservation. He did all that I asked for and more, and earned my confidence and trust. As a business owner I know how hard it is to achieve and maintain an A rating on Angie's List and to provide first class service to each and every new customer. Adail did just that!

Initial estimate From the moment we met Adail he was professional, courteous and pleasant to work with. He paid attention to detail and timely followed up on communications and questions. We never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision and were comfortable in our choice to work with him. The Job AAB Roofing did an excellent job replacing our roof with architectural shingles and used quality products such as Grace Ice and Water shield. The crew worked hard, but didn't rush, were pleasant and professional on the job. Adail came by several time to check on the job and even replaced a rotted piece of trim board for us which was above and beyond their job. The site was nicely cleaned up after the work was done and nothing was damaged in he process.. We are very pleased with how everything came out and would work with Adail again without hesitation.

I noticed that the paint was peeling on my bedroom closet ceiling, because of a leak from my roof. I was thinking that I would need to replace my whole roof. I contacted Adail in the afternoon and he came over the next day. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. He asked to see the leak in my closet and asked if any water dripped from the ceiling. I told him no. He told me that it is not a bad leak and it is not worth it to repair it right now. In order to repair it, I would need to repair my entire roof, since I have a flat roof and the leak could be coming from anywhere. It would cost between 13-15k to replace the roof and he would not want to do that if the leak is not terrible. He suggested I use an oil based primer, then joint compound, and then the primer again. If it leaks through that then to contact him. He is very trustworthy and I felt comfortable with him and what he told me. I will definitely hire him when my leak becomes bad enough to require a repair. In the mean time, I will start saving up!

AAB Roofing is very thorough, There were no surprises or shortcuts - they did things right. They even went a few extra steps and touched up areas beyond the roof. Very experienced and courteous workers. They cleaned up every day, not just at end of job. They took down and secured their ladders for safety every afternoon. I would highly recommend them.

This is the second job we've used AAB for and we continue to be delighted. The house had been in disrepair for years, with paint chipping off the house and gutters and fascia rotted almost away. Not only did they work long hours to complete the job, the transformation is incredible. Highly advise using these guys for painting if you need a touch up or a full-scale job.

the weather prevented him from getting on the roof. btw: how many times do I have to enter a dumb answer to get the system to understand that the vendor did NOT do the service b ecause the weather interfered!!!

AAB was fantastic. They sent someone out the following morning (a Saturday) before the next storm hit. They did an excellent job and even used some leftover shingles we had in the basement, so we didn't have any materials expenses. They gave us a quote to replace the full roof that was higher than other contractors, but their quote for repair work was half other quotes, and they got back to us right away. Other contractors didn't get back to us until after the next big storm.
