Dabbs Lock

Hardest part was catching someone in the shop. Google, their website, and facebook all have different hours. Once I caught him though, it was fast and cheap. Would definitely use him for lock services again. BTW, I asked and he said to use the facebook page to determine hours.

Mr Dobbs arrived punctually and performed the tasks required very satisfactorily.

Didn't return multiple calls or email

I emailed Dabbs through Angie's List on the 30th of Dec 2014. When I did not hear back, I called on the 5th of Jan. After being put on hold for 8 minutes, I left a message with the answering service. However, I never heard from Dabbs. I decided to go with another provider.

They never came back or returned any of my 7 phone calls to finish the job.

I called and left a message on Monday morning. No answer. I went by the store and left my information and no answer. I called again and they said that they got my information and still no answer. I decided to do business with another company

Great service. He was prompt, did what he said he'd do. Very personable, efficient and pleasant to deal with. We'd use him again. Gave us $20 off for Angies List discount.

Service was fast, friendly, professional, and not expensive. It could not have been better!

Contacted the provider on Wednesday to request a quote to perform a lock service and never received a call back (waited 3 days). Was directed to their answering service who couldn't provide any information except to tell me someone would call me back. Not a good experience from my end. Will not contact them again for any services.

DJ tightened a spring inside the interior door knob. He then lubed most of my exterior door locks. I was glad that I didn't need the lock-set replaced, which would have been considerably more expensive.

DJ was friendly and courteous, did the work conscientiously and thoroughly and, as a bonus, also answered my questions on security in general. Dabbs Lock is the type of local family owned business that still gives good, dependable service at a reasonable price. In an age where customer service is more and more corporate and unresponsive, Dabbs Lock is a real find. I will certainly use them again and I can recommend them highly.

Dabbs Lock came recommended to me by my Brother and a Co-Worker. DJ showed up on time and was professional, knowledgable and has a very pelasant/friendly demeanor. DJ was very efficient and was able to complete the work in under 1 hour. Great experience working with Dabbs Lock and DJ, I would highly recommend.

After reviewing on Angie's, I called and was able to get an appointment the very next day. They arrived on time and completed the job in about an hour. All went perfectly.

It went very well. They were on time. The did the work correctly. The lock they changed was a dead bolt. The also adjusted the knob on the door. They gave me the Angies List discount. I will use them again.

I had booked in with Dabb's about a month before the service date and to my fault I didn't call to confirm the appt. in the days leading up, so the morning of the appt. they weren't there at our booked time. I called to check if they were coming and my appt. had dropped off their calendar, BUT they headed right over and were at our house 20 minutes later. They were very professional and apologized for the appt dropping off their calendar, and they got right to work. DJ was also real helpful explaining our locks and details to keep us safe, which was very nice of him. The whole appt took about 25 minutes, that included changing 2 locks and making 3 keys for us. At the end of the appt DJ asked how we heard about them - I said Angie's List and said we had a coupon. He was happy to apply the discount. We were really pleased with their work and would use Dabb's again.

Great, I called early in the afternoon and they were able to come by 3:30 pm the same day.

DJ came out to the property to understand the needs and provide an estimate. He really took the time to understand how we wanted all the keys to work since there are multiple units and several entrances. He performed the work very quickly, which consisted of changing out the locks and hardware for a number of units, and everything has worked perfectly. I have since used him at other properties as well.

He was on time. He called before he came. He brought an assistant who also did the easier repair. He was polite, respectful and appropriately humorous. We discussed the job and how to do it most efficiently and least expensively. I had expected to need to replace the lock on a bedroom door. His assistant offered to repair the problem instead. I appreciate his honesty. He could have just replaced and I wouldn't have known the difference. The remaining doors were outer doors which needed to have different locks. We discussed the best way to do this. His suggestions were excellent and cost effective. We followed my plan but I like like the fact that he asked excellent questions which led to talking about different ways to do the job. I feel this is the mark of an experienced professional. It gave me confidence in him and his work and I wasn't disappointed.

Arrived on time and replaced a broken spring in the lock. Very pleasant and professional.

The handle on our front door fell off and I called Dabbs either restore or replace the door knob. They were very responsive at first and came out the day after my initial call. The gentleman who came out was very professional and assessed our situation. We wanted to try and restore the 1920's original crystal door handle but it ended up needing replacement as the inside was stripped. The representative did not have the parts needed on hand and set the expectation that he would be back either the following day or next to replace the door knob. To date (now a week later), I have never heard back from this company. I have left two messages and they have yet to return my call. I would not have expected such poor customer service from an "A" rated company on this website.

Unlocked antique in 5 ,minutes and then offered antique key for free!

Very well. DJ was very personable and was thoughtful about offering all possible options for configuring the locks.

Great service...Very professional, helpful and friendly. Moved into a new condominium and had DJ change the locks to the unit and storage closet. He also made a few extra sets of keys. In and out in less than an hour. Would use again!

They were A +, everything was perfect. They were neat and clean, on time, and I plan using them again.
