CLEVERGREEN CLEANERS

I was extremely pleased with my experience with Farshad and Clevergreen. I am planning on altering my grandmother's wedding dress for my upcoming wedding, however, the dress was not taken care of and had multiple stains. I tried cleaning them myself, but had no luck. I took the dress to 2 other dry cleaners - one looked at the stains and just said "No." The other was more pleasant, but couldn't guarantee that the stains would come out and was concerned that the cleaning process would damage the dress (it's 70 years old and has some tears in spots.) I had almost given up, but randomly came across Clevergreen. I called and spoke to a gentleman at the Revere Beach Parkway location and described my situation. He suggested that I call Farshad at their North Street location, as Farshad was the expert. I called Farshad, described the dress and it's state and he asked that I come over with the dress, as he couldn't really give me an answer without seeing the dress. I drove right over and met Farshad, he looked at the dress for a few moments and said he could clean it. He said he was going to soak it in Hydrogen peroxide, as that would be the best thing to work at the particular types of stains on the dress. He quoted me $125 and told me it would be ready in a week. I thought that was pricey, but considering my situation, felt I had no choice. I left feeling hopeful and went home. An hour later my phone rang and it was Farshad calling to ask if I wanted to come see the dress - he had already finished the soak and said it looked like a different dress! I went back over and he was right - I was amazed, the dress had been totally transformed back to it's original color. Farshad kept it for another week to work by hand on some of the stains that didn't come out. I called a week later and the dress was ready (a day before it was promised) and it looked beautiful. It was clean and neatly pressed - it looked just like it must have looked when my grandmother wore it in 1939. I was thrilled and no longer concerned about the price. I'd like to point out that Clevergreen is committed to environmentally friendly methods of dry cleaning, and the fact that Farshad was able to do what no one else could - and do it without harmful chemicals, was just amazing to me! I actually don't dry clean any of my clothing, as I don't like the chemicals that are used - but now that I have found Clevergreen, I am taking all of my fine washables there. I should also note that I visited their Medford location on North Street not Revere Beach Parkway. The store looks more like a couture dress salon than a dry cleaner, it was very welcoming. I have not been to their other locations. They have 4 locations in the greater Boston area, 2 in Medford, one in Cambridge and one in Boston. I highly recommend Clevergreen!

I think my experiences have been excellent. They do a great job they always listen to my feedback or special instructions. My clothes never come back smelling of harsh chemicals. The staff are all very nice and easy to work with.
