Citizens Bank Mortgage Banker Henry Law

We inquired at Citizens Bank in Medford about a mortgage because we do other banking there. We were immediately contacted by their mortgage banker, Henry Law (who also works out of the Woburn office, I believe). Henry was enormously helpful with our mortgage processing from start to finish, beginning with giving us a clear picture of what we needed to do to apply in our first meeting. We were purchasing a second home in New Jersey (we live in Massachusetts), and ended up working with a lawyer there who was really disorganized, disengaged, and close to incompetent. And we were out of the country for work during much of the period prior to closing. Henry kept on top of the whole process, contacting everyone involved, making sure that they provided the information that was needed, and working hard to allow us to close on the date we were aiming for, April 29. At the closing, the seller, the seller’s attorney, and the representative of the title company all talked about how impressed they were with Henry. It turns out that they knew how bad our own attorney was, and they gave full credit to Henry for his significant role in getting us to a closing. I highly recommend Henry to anyone who might be looking for a mortgage. The $350 was an origination fee. There were various fees associated with the closing and those for Citizens were comparable to those at other banks, as were the interest rates we would receive for our type of loan and credit history. (We also received a rebate because we will pay the mortgage directly from our Citizens Bank account.) In the end, I'm glad we chose to go with Citizens because of the great service Henry provided.
