I've been using them for years and things went fine. They're prompt. They know what they were doing and they're reasonable. They're responsive. They were recommended by somebody I used to use.

Repair person said dryer could not be economically fixed,(20 year old dryer) after looking at the dryer for a couple of minutes. Suggested we go to their store and buy a new one. Store only had one model gas dryer to show us, and it was boxed. Wound up getting a new dryer at Sears.
The repair man also left a note about the washing machine needing some work, but I could not read the note and since the washer is working fine, I ignored it.

It seems that despite my warnings of overloading the washer, my wife and cleaning lady managed to finally break the motor coupler and water pump on my washing machine.
Note: the water pump is a cheaply made plastic housing that contains a rubber impeller and, while integral to the operation, not an expensive part like one would think of when hearing its name associated with a washing machine. Breaking the coupler also damaged the pump as they are connected.
I called Cedar Appliance and they were able to send a repair team on the same day (within an hour and a half actually). The two gentlemen who showed up were awesome. Their guess based on the funny noises the washer made was spot on once they opened it up. They had the parts with them and had the washer back up and running.
They also noticed the missing door latch on my dryer and suggested a dryer tune up, which consisted of replacing the belt the drum rollers and the idler pulley (keeps tension on the belt). Based on the age of the dryer and teh fact that we hadn't had it serviced in the 7 years we have owned the house it seemed reasonable so I gave the OK, and am glad I did. The ball bearings on the idler pully were just about seized up, and you could see on the pully where the belt had started to slip over it instead of the pulley turning. The belt was also very old and very cracked. The dryer was running on borrowed time, so the $80 and 20 minutes was worth it.
The guys were extremely knowledgeable about the appliances and had been in the appliance repair business for 30 or so years. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Their prices are extremely reasonable. The experience was so great that I made another appointment with Cedar Appliance to come take a look at my freezer which seems to randomly thaw. (The washer/dryer guys don't do refrigerators)
