Came quickly. Gave a good price. Only took slightly longer than expected. Really nice paint job. Worked with us on lots of little details. Nice guys.

The price was very good, much less than the two other quotes we received, but the work corresponded with the price. They did the absolute minimum prep: filled mail holes and coated cracks. They did not even wipe the dust off the surfaces before they painted, so the finish is not smooth but is filled with little bits of fuzz (and our woodwork was pretty clean to start, thank goodness!). They didn't clean the grease off the kitchen ceiling. They painted directly over old, peeling paint without scraping and sanding at all and we had to ask them to sand and redo one of the doors. They did not cover or move anything, and I asked them to hold off on some rooms (like the bedrooms, so I could scramble around and put everything under a dropcloth. After they left I discovered quite a bit of paint on one portion of our stair railing (wood finish), and I'm not sure how we will get it off, other than refinishing the whole railing. They were done very fast, on the positive side, and they did show up exactly when they said they would. If you want a cheap, fast job and don't need to live with the results, they would be good candidates.

I was extremely disappointed with Blessed Painting. I had used the company in 2010 and Giovanni and his crew did a fabulous job. I decided to have my condo repainted in 2013 after renting it out for two years. I called Blessed Painting again since they were so wonderful before. Giovanni is no longer the owner of the company. I was told the painting crew was the same, so I booked the job. The results were disastrous. My newly refinished hardwood floors were covered with tiny paint drops. I called the company and received a text two days later...the morning my furniture was being delivered. It was too late to do anything about the floor. After we moved back into the condo I realized the painters really screwed up the job. The painting was extremely sub-par. My bathroom looked like it had been painted with a wet roller. There is a pattern all over the walls that looks horrible. The also missed spots in every room. Complete amateurs. I wish I hadn't paid them until I had done a better inspection of the condo.

Avoid this company at all costs, you will be left with a half finished job. If you're thinking about hiring Barreto and blessed painting, in a word, DON'T. You will be messed around for weeks, delayed and ultimately disappointed. Working with this guy is the height of frustration. But, lets be fair and present a balanced review; Let me start with the positives - Called Barreto on a Wednesday, he picked up and arranged to meet me that night, at 530pm. He arrived at my house at 5pm, early, a good start! - The bid that Barreto came in with was at the upper level of competing bids. We needed a new ceiling hung and plaster applied over the sheetrock. Although he was coming in on the high end, he could start that saturday, so we agreed on the price, shook hands and ill see you saturday @ 8am - The two guys that arrived at 8am were pleasant enough. They laid down their protective equipment (they used my plastic and painters tape though!) for the floor and off they went cutting and installing the ceiling. After a quick break, they started plastering the ceiling. They started at 8am and they were done by 130pm, it looked good. excellent! That's were the positives ended. Lets get to the negatives and the real reason you should look elsewhere, anywhere, for a painting contractor. After the ceiling was installed, I spoke to Barreto about painting the ceiling, the walls, prepping and painting all the trim work. He gave me a price, it was good, the lowest bid that we have received. I gladly accepted his offer and he said when the plaster is dry his guys could come back and finish the job. This was October 8th. what happened between 8th October and 3rd November was 20+ text messages, phone calls, emails to Barreto, the majority which were ignored. All i was asking was "when can you come back to finish" and i would receive a response "i'm busy, sorry" "we are busy, we will get back to you" "we are busy until January, you can get another company to finish it if you like". JANUARY!!! WTH????? no one is that busy. After much thought it became obvious that he had underbid on the cost estimate for the painting and didnt want to commit to it. The painting, with all the sanding and prep work, was a two day job, easily. He was willing to offer one day of work for the quote he had bid. This wasnt going to work, he didnt want to do the work because he had underbid on two guys working 16 hours on a job and wouldnt make any money, and i wasnt willing to let him rush the job, compressing two days of work into one day. It would have looked terrible, rushed and unprofessional. Overall, i think Barreto and blessed painting are kinda shady. At one point he asked me to "leave your door open, you dont need to be there when we are painting" who in their right mind would leave 2-3 virtual strangers in their home for 8 hours? no one, i dont care who you are and how trusting you are. So here we are the job half finished, the ceiling has imperfections that i will now have to pay someone else to deal with and will have to contract another company to actually come and finish the paint job. I simply wouldnt hire Barreto or recommend him to anyone. There are literally dozens of painting contractors in the Boston area, i went to Blessed painting and Barreto because of the 4 star reviews on YELP. However, if you look closely, you'll see that no one has reviewed his company in over a year and i can only assume people are having the same bad experiences with him. Look elsewhere, trust me.

I was a skeptic because the price was low compared to others but they did a very good job. Our house needed some carpentry and they did a great job with that. I am extremely picky and notice some minor issues in the details, however you may not. Its likely that to get a better job it would have cost 2x as much. It's also possible we could have paid more and it wouldn't have been much better. I would use them again, and may soon for an interior project.

Baretto was quick to respond to all calls, emails, and texts, and his quote came in much lower than other painters we talked to. He was flexible with what we needed (scope of carpentry, willing to do multiple coats of primer and paint, etc). We were glad that he could fit us in so quickly after we reached out. The job looks great overall! He made sure to fix all drainage problems with door overhangs, and used top of the line materials and techniques. The previous job had been really sloppy, and Baretto explained the whole process and why he did what he did. We are not expecting any further leaks or wood rot. The paint job looks good, also top of the line materials. Is it the absolute best I've seen, no, but it is very good. We were concerned that the low price meant he would cut corners or have very messy workers, but that was not the case. We would use him again. It was good value for the money.

Baretto and his crew were very professional. They came to my home and gave me an estimate of the job. The estimate was the best of all the rest. I am glad i chose them because the work they did was very professional and they showed up on time and finished when they told me they said they would. I would definitely use them again. I was very pleased with their work, their price and their professionalism.

The gentlemen at Blessed Painting are a pleasure to work with. They are trustworthy, pleasant, and honor their quotes. One reason I did not give them full and quot;A'sand quot; across the board is that the quality of work that they did for me, while consistent with the price and just what I was looking for, was not and quot;Aand quot; quality work. However, I think it's great that there is an option out there for good quality work at an affordable price, and if that is what you're looking for then Blessed is your company. Also, a quick note that the B for professionalism is purely based on the fact that there were several occasions where none of the painters spoke English. I think it would be more appropriate to have at least one person on hand at all times who can communicate in English, although this was hardly an insurmountable issue as there was always a line of communication with the owner, but where he wasn't on site that was not always the most practical or convenient option. All in all, my experience was that Blessed is a good option for reasonably priced painting work.

The team arrived promptly and painted all rooms within 2-3 days. They did a great job and would definitely hire them again. We had a miscommunication on the color of our dining room, but they re painted without any issues. Great job all around though it did seem a little pricey. Because they were highly recommended on Angie's list and the great job, I have no problems with the price.

We had a small window of time to get the job done; Blessed was able to assemble a team and get them on site in a matter of days. They prepped well, did a good job of clean up, and finished four rooms, including a LOT of woodwork, in about twelve hours.
There was one glitch - an incorrect paint color for one room. It was caught and corrected very quickly, without any impact to the overall schedule.
I would hire these folks again. In fact, I hope to have them back next fall to do another four rooms.

The work was done very well and the price was very reasonable. The owner at the time, Giovanni, returned to Brazil and sold the company to another owner. I cannot speak to the quality of the current company.

Very unhappy with the quality of work. Every room covered with small paint specks on the newly refinished hardwood floors. I left a voicemail asking what I could use to remove the paint. I received a response three days later offering to come by and look at the floors. Since the movers were already unloading our furniture it was impossible to fix the issue. The guest bathroom looked like water was mixed with the paint. The walls were full of streaks. There were also numerous areas where the second coat was missed. Overall a very sloppy job. Definitely would not recommend!!

Blessed Painting is by far the best painting service you can hope for in the Boston Area. I am setting up a home business and needed one small room painted: walls, ceiling and the hardwood floor. I called Blessed Painting after reading all the great reviews on Yelp, and Barreto, the owner, came to my house within 30 minutes and gave me the quote -- a great deal, I must say. Barreto was really nice too. We scheduled the service instantly and he came in a couple of days later.
I can't praise enough the wonderful job that Barreto did. Clean, quick, effective, and all for a very reasonable price.
Thank you Blessed Painting! I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Barreto was punctual, pleasant, and very professional. The estimate was approximately 1/3 the price of other companies I asked for estimates, and while one could quibble with a few details (minor splashes and omissions, slight deviations from straight lines for trim), overall the quality of painting was quite good. When it took an extra two coats to cover prior paint, these were done matter of factly with no extra charge or complaints.
I also particularly appreciated how flexible Barreto was. During the painting time, a negligent tile guy failed to cap fixtures or turn of the water main in the course of bathroom work, resulting in major water damage to the dining room ceiling (CB Tile -- in case you're thinking of using him, I might not recommend it). Barreto mentioned that he could redo the ceiling, and did so in half a day with fantastic results. He could have charged me anything for that work, given my desperation, but ended up charging me even less than what he had originally estimated.
Overall, Barreto and his team were hard working, pleasant, scrupulously honest, and a pleasure to work with.

We made an appointment so the company could inspect the damage and provide an estimate. I received the estimate via email within one day. I agreed to the estimate and we set a date for the work. The work was done as defined. It took a little more than one day. No problems. No concerns.

Blessed Painting's bid was significantly lower than 3 other painting contractors. Was able to start job within 24 hours of accepting bid, estimated job would take 4 days, finished ahead of schedule in 3 days. Spent half a day in clean up. Overall, quality paint job at a very reasonable cost and done very efficently and quickly. I would use them again without hesitation.

I was pleased with his responsiveness and the quality of his paint job. They were thorough and painted with care inside the closets, in the bathoooms, and certain parts of the ceiling. He finishes the job before taking payment, and is willing to come back and touch up if needed.

I thought the price Giovanni quoted me was fair, and he stuck to the estimate. They did the work really fast, it only took one day (3-4 people working) and it came out great. They did a very nice and thorough job, even after weeks I'm surprised to see nooks where they actually went through the trouble of painting (like behind the fridge). They also left the place very clean, and there are no drops of paint on the floor or trim or anything like that.

Only minor complaint is that in some places you can still see the 'bumpy' areas where the drywall was repaired (this is the only reason I put B and not A for quailty).

Overall, a very good job, and would definitely go with Blessed Painting in the future.
