AICA Plumbing/HVAC Systems

Called them on a Friday about our furnace needing service and we thought something was wrong because the front of our condo was cold. The owner, James, called us back quickly and made an appointment for the following Monday morning and gave us an accurate price quote for maintenance work & repair. Turns out we did not need repair/parts. There was only air in the pipes, which he flushed out for no charge. They only charged us for the cleaning/maintenance (same as quoted), which apparently had never been done by previous homeowners. James was very knowledgeable and showed us everything he did. He also said that now that we are a customer, if we need emergency assistance over the winter he would come out at regular rates (no time & half or "emergency" upcharge). Speedy, honest, knowledgeable...will definitely be using them from now on!

James answered his phone on a sunday and showed up first thing monday morning. It turned out to be a tiny $50.00 part that was faulty. He replaced it in 10 minutes and discounted his service fee because it was such a small problem. He couldn't have be nicer or more professional. He also looked at a bunch of unrelated issues in our house, at no additional cost, and advised us against spending unnecessarily on repairs that weren't needed. If you read his reviews on yelp you will see that everyone who has ever used him loves him! Couldn't recommend him enough for any plumbing or HVAC work.

James has come to our rescue a number of times, but on one very important occasion, he really saved the day!  It was a very hot week in the middle of the summer, and we had a newborn infant at home.  Of course, our central A/C decided that was the time to stop working.  We called James at 9pm (leaving a message) and he called us back at 8:00am the next morning, saying he could be at our house in one hour!  Unheard of service, in our opinion.  He is punctual, honest, fair with pricing, and he does a great job.  To top it off, he's a very nice man.  I highly recommend AICA.

James came to our rescue last winter when our furnace died in the middle of the coldest cold snap of the season, and was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. So when our AC stopped working this summer, we called him and he came by again and fixed the problem quickly and expertly. He's our go-to for any and all plumbing/HVAC needs. And just about the nicest man on the planet.

My commercial HVAC unit, on the roof of my condo building, stopped producing chilled air.  I called James and he promptly came over and determined I needed a new compressor, which costs thousands of dollars.  Rather than just charge me for a new part and labor, he checked into whether it was under warranty on his own.  It was, so he told me a flat free price for the labor that was very reasonable.
He removed the old one and traded it for a new one at the dealer.  He was very responsive over the phone to set up appointments to do the work and did it on Saturdays due to my weekday work schedule.  Yes, 3pm on a Saturday and he's on my roof with his assistant David, welding in a new, free compressor.  He was very professional and well kept, not a person you cringe to have in your home.  I have 2 cats and he was very attentive to them to make sure they didn't sneak outside while he was working.
At the end of the work, he had me come onto the roof and explained each step of his work and how the gauges showed the AC was working at the proper level of cooling.  His work was careful and thorough.  I would recommend him to anyone having HVAC work.  Easily the best contractor I've ever had do work on my home!

They came out the same day that I called. They did a thorough job of hooking everything back up and explaining everything. It was an overall pleasant experience and great service.
