Adam's Hardwood Floors

The owner was responsive, and I was glad he was able to schedule the work just before the holiday weekend. We were eager to move furniture back into that room. The owner arrived the first day to check things out and supervise the sanding; the crew, led by his son, arrived on subsequent days to apply the further coats. 
Each day, they were punctual, and arrived early, just as they said they would (7:30 am).
The floor looked very nice when they finished.

Job was done well - the crew was available to start even earlier than originally expected, and did a fast and thorough job. Left the house clean, and the finish work was done quite well. The work was relatively straighforward, as the house was unoccupied at the time of service, but the crew did a good job of securing old floorboards where necessary and worked carefully around staircase trim and multiple radiators.

He is very good. He is on time. He is a nice guy. He gave us the estimate and did the job. The quality is pretty good. He came with the crew and finished the job. They came end of December.

This was one of the best experiences I have had when doing work to my home. I needed my hardwood floors refinished and quickly. I called Tran and he showed up the same day. When I told him how quickly I needed everything done he started that afternoon! He was done the next day and his price was fantastic. I can not say enough positive things about Tran and his crew, they were awesome!!

Tran was incredibly responsive and flexible with dates and times. Work was complete within 10 days of initial call. Provided Estimate on first visit within a couple days of first contact.
He was always on time and courteous. Communicated effectively through text as we both needed. Cleaned up and contained the dust beyond my expectations. He advised me against the added cost of dustless system since it was not fully dustless.
He made the process very easy and our floor looks amazing. It had been hidden under indoor/outdoor carpet for 40 years.

Outstanding! The 60 year old floors look magnificent. The owner Tran and his employees came, they were punctual , knowledgeable and professional. We had just painted the walls, there was no residual poly left on the bottom of the painted wall trim, they were so meticulous. I would not hesitate to reccomend them to friends and family.

Really well. Before the first day of work Tran (owner/supervisor) called me to confirm that he and crew would be there between 7:30 and 8:00 in the morning on Thursday morning. I went over and opened the place (rental apartment) up for them and got out of their way. On the way to one of my morning errands/appointments around 11:20 or so, I checked in to see how it was going. They were done already. Coat one of polyurethane was down and shiny. On day two for the second coat I opened up the unit, paid for the work and got out of their way. When I went back later in the evening everything looked great. Due to the extreme heat/humidity which we have had Tran advised that I should wait until Sunday to walk on or show the unit. Polyurethane takes longer to dry in humid weather. I went back later on Friday to lock up and check on their work.
These guys are awesome. I will get back way more in rental value than the cost of their work. When I showed the unit on Sunday, the floors were the and quot;show stopper.and quot; Their work helped turn a and quot;6 or 7and quot; of a unit into a and quot;10.and quot; I would absolutely use them again. There was a little bit of dust which I had to wipe off, but nothing too difficult. They got 90 or 95% of it.

It went pretty well. I had used them 6 years before they did a smaller room. They did a better job the first time I used them then the second time. The room looks great. It was not perfect but it was good and the price was reasonable. They did charge me lesser than other places during the quote.

I contacted Adam's Hardwood floors after comparing reviews on Angie's list (also their proximity to our home). The price quoted was almost half of the price quoted by others, so we went ahead.
The workers were polite and hard working and were busy sanding the floors most of the first day. On the second day our floors were buffed and got a second coat of polyurethane. The floors looks beautiful. We are very happy.

Tran's team installed ~ 300sq ft of hardwood floors in our bedrooms about a year ago. I waited for a year to write a review because I wanted to see how the floor did over the summer/winter cycle and I must say it still looks great :)
We hired Tran because his quote was the best and he left a very good impression on us. When the time came to do work, we were very pleased with his team. They did their job really quickly and were always on time. When we felt that a couple of boards were a little off color, Tran changed them without any problems. When the job was done, we did feel like that they should have done a better job cleaning up the dust. Once again, Tran quickly responded by sending his crew to clean the house to our satisfaction.

Tran and his team dug up my ceramic tile floor in the kitchen and layed down a beautiful maple floor. In addition, they installed a hardwood floor in my enty way..........they look beautiful! I spoke to Tran on a Wednesday and agreed to meet at 5:00 that evening, and sure enough at 5 on the button he arrived. He gave me his estimate that was very reasonable (I had already received at least 4 others)We agreed that he would be there in the morning to do the job. I received such a good vibe from him I left my door open for him to come in and do the work while the house was empty. When I returned home, I was greeted by a very nice man named Carlos who was very polite and courteous and the job was complete with a few minor issues (my fault I forgot to get the the baseboards) Well no problem at all they came back and completed the job even after they were paid in full. I look forward to having Tran and his team to come back and refinish the rest of the floors in my house, as that estimate for that was very reasonable as well. I would hire Tran and his team in a heart beat.

It has been 6 months now; our floors still look like brand new.

Absolutely no complaints. Went like clockwork.

1. Called Tranh on a Monday. He called me back 15 minutes later, gave me an estimate, and said they could start the NEXT DAY! It was just one room and it was already cleared out so he didn't feel he needed to come over to inspect.

2. Tuesday, two of Tran's workers arrived on time, meticulously sanded the floor---including the edges along the baseboard heating units that had not been done properly whenever that floor was last refinished---and then put down one coat of varnish. They taped plastic over the interior doorway to contain the fumes and opened the windows a bit.

3. Weds, the same two workers appeared promptly at 8 a.m. and put down a second coat of varnish.

4. Thursday, the same two workers appeared promptly at 8 a.m.. They buffed the floor and then put down the final coat of varnish (I could choose high gloss, semi-gloss, etc. whatever I wanted). I then paid them and that was that.

They did a beautiful professional job. No mess. No drama. No shortcuts. Did wonders for that floor.

Tran asked what my objectives were and recommended adding a layer of plywood and then installing full thickness hardwood over that. Tran's solution met my objectives better than other solutions. Since this raised the height of the floor by 1 1/4", I was concerned about the height of the baseboard heating pipe above the new floor. I decided to have the baseboard heat raised (a lower profile baseboard was installed in the same spot as the original baseboard). Had I not done that, I believe that the heating pipe would have been pretty much right at the surface of the floor. Tran and I had not discussed that. Remember--Tran does flooring, not heating systems. I was concerned that there was nothing in writing, and I wasn't certain how the transitions between rooms and hallways (heights) would work out. However, the end result was a very professional job with excellent craftsmanship, performed at the verbally quoted price. I would use Tran Trinh (Adam's Hardwood) again in a heartbeat.

Overall it went just as planned, my wife and I are happy with the results.

They were excellent. They charged me $1200 for the brand new kitchen floor, $400 for refinishing of the entire downstairs and front hallway stairway. They were extremely responsive and showed up exactly when they said that they would. They did not up their cost. They gave me some good advice. They said that if the kitchen floor was to be refinished, then the patching would make it look weird as it was uneven. Hence, we bought a brand new floor for not much. I appreciated that. They acknowledged that there was probably a better way to do it. They always responded to voicemails very quickly. They were great. I would definitely recommend them to the others.

We had a great experience, they came in and did a great job. They were quick, clean and cleaned up after themselves. I didn't have a plan for the threshold in the room and they had a plan immediately when they got here. It was a pretty simple room, it wasn't a complex job but they did a very nice job and they were pleasant to deal with. There was a lot of dust when they were done, but I left for work before they completely finished and when I came back there wasn't a spec of dust anywhere. It was beautiful. My wife had used them years and years ago and then found them again on Angie's List.

We were getting my father's 1965 ranch house ready to sell and wanted to highlight the hardwood floors. I called Tran on a Monday. He met with me two days later to generate an estimate and the work was completed a week later on budget. The floors look great. We have tried other floor refinishing companies, but we have found that Adam's Hardwood Floors is more responsive. Their work is consistently good. We will be renovating our own house soon and when we get ready to do the floors, I will absolutely be calling this company.

Tran came in with the lowest estimate, was able to get the job started within 3 days of seeing the floors and was very responsive and easy to work with. Between when we go the estimate and when he started the job, we asked him not to do the floor in one room and to do a second flight of stairs instead. He was very flexible and changed the price over the phone, charging us only $50 more because of the repair work needed on the stair treads. The floors came out beautifully and were done 1 day ahead of schedule.
