I obtained A C Mechanical's name by referral from my trusted plumber. A C is a small family business, so the techs are invested in maintaining the company's good reputation. Ryan was the tech who came to service the electric heat pump. He was punctual, cordial, professional and very comfortable to work with. He debunked the conventional wisdom (to me, anyway) that a heat pump needs to be serviced twice or once every year to maintain it, asserting that a heat pump either operates or it doesn't operate and an HVAC professional only really needs to be brought in when the pump isn't operating. However, the filter does need to be changed annually (and preferably twice a year), but a homeowner can do this on his/her own. Ryan also offered other DIY, money-savings tips for maintaining other types of HVAC equipment. I appreciated Ryan's honesty and integrity and will definitely use A C Mechanical for all of my HVAC needs.
