It is a local bank and I have used them for years. I do my online banking so I pay my bills online through there. I think their fees are relatively low and I like the customer service. There are several locations in our area and I will use them again in the future.

I could not be happier! My first mortgage company had (in retrospect) terrible service and backed out on me a week before my scheduled closing. I decided to go with a local bank instead of a national one the second time around and gave Middlesex Savings Bank a call. I worked primarily with Patty Slaney who was absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to do business with. I talked through why my original bank backed out and Patty checked with her underwriting department and let me know that they would not have the same problem, before I'd even submitted an application. The next day I called back, submitted an application and everything went like clockwork. We closed a little more than 30 days from my first conversation with Patty and there were zero surprises. That is, unless you count their rate dropping 1/8th of a point, and me being able to get the lower rate with a flat $300 "float down" fee :) Their Jumbo mortgage rates are incredibly hard to beat, the customer service was excellent (so much so I'm considering moving all my banking there) and we closed on schedule. I couldn't ask for more.

Middlesex Savings Bank made it convenient to get the new HELOC at a favorable rate. The application was straightforward, and the service was warm and personal. The only glitch came when National City didn't respond to several requests for the payoff amount. I had to get involved and call National City myself and straighten out the snafu, so it took several weeks longer to complete than it should have. Fortunately, the interest rate stayed low during that time.

Middlesex Savings Bank did a great job financing my new condo. They made it relatively easy and their fees were lower than other places that I looked at. I also like that they are a local and I can also use them for my banking needs. I would refer them to others.
