MEDFIELD VETERINARY CLINIC INC

I had been going to Medfield Veterinary Clinic, then Westwood Veterinary Clinic since 2005. The people (vets and staff) were awesome. They were expensive but the care was exceptional. In 2018, our dogs dies within 6 months of each other. We waited until 10/2020 to get another dog. Unbeknown to me, Dr. Crowley sold the practice to Banfield Pet Hospital. Although Dr. Crowley still worked there part-time, everything changed. When I went for a visit I felt like I was at a used car lot. Would you like this, and this, and this. Very aggressive. The last straw was when I took our puppy for a follow-up vaccine. The cost of the vaccine was supposed to be $32.50. It was during the pandemic; after waiting for 25 minutes in the car they came and got my dog. They said it should not take long. They took him away, the door to the clinic closed; no more than 3 minutes later (literarily) my dog was back in my car. The cost of the vaccine was $110. I nearly fell off my seat. I was done. I walked into the clinic, got copies of his records and left. Very sad. The place was amazing.

They have been very good and I have not had any complaints. They are not the cheapest place but they really spend their time with you and we feel that is worth it. We will continue to go to them.

The first procedure that she had was having two teeth taken out. That was just under $2000. Now, it's just kind of some random blood work, which is running anywhere from $20 to $100. I have vet insurance. I love my vet. When the vet is on vacation they're very good about communicating who is going to be getting the most recent lab results to me and never dropping the ball and making sure that I'm comfortable with the plan. I never feel like I'm really waiting for anything. I always kind of feel like I know what the plan is and I know where to go from here. I know that they're going to be calling me with the results. I never really feel like I'm floundering. They're very good about making sure that I'm comfortable with things and making sure that I don't have any questions and making sure that I understand what they're telling me, whether it's in clinical terms or just what the plan is. They're very good about that.

I cannot say enough about how caring Dr. Kirk and all the staff are at this clinic. From regular check ups for all of our pets to complicated surgery they really can do it all. Thank you all for your genuine love to help animals, including human animals.

They are very professional, they make you feel like a valued customer and they've been very accommodating with scheduling and seeing our pets we have. We have several cats and several dogs that we brought them in and we continue to use them.

One cat has had two stomach operations and is doing excellently.
One cat had a kidney failure, probably a genetic problem. That cat's problems weren't diagnosed in a manner that would have allowed me to save her, but it's possible no vet could have figured it out.
Numerous other procedures have been performed, all excellent.

They are our third veterinarians and we have switched many times because one thing or another didn't meet our expectations. They not only met our expectations but they surpassed them. They were very kind and very good with our animals. The prices are reasonable and they didn't try to up sell us on anything, and they offered very good advice.

Saw Dr. Young and she was terrific. Great knowledge and most of all she was not hesitant to ask the opinion of her collegues or other experts regarding my cat's health. I had dealt with a very arrogant veterinarian from another office previously and was pleased with Dr. Young's care of my cat. She always called back when she said she would. The office staff were very friendly as well. I will continue to get my cat's care here. The only thing I am going to do is take my cat for a holistic consult to another vet way out in Bolton to just talk about dietary needs because there are a lot of opinions out there about the renal kitty and their nutrition!

They really are great!

Medfield Veterinary Clinic Inc, and especially Dr. Richard Crowell are excellent and very thorough. The facility is clean and the staff are all friendly and helpful. This is a fine group of people. I've used them for several years and am very satisfied with their care.
