Deb did a great job hemming my wife's pants.  We used a buy-2-get-one-free coupon for part of the service.  Very reasonable prices and turn-around time.  The pants look great--we highly recommend Deb!

I had taken my daughter's prom dress to another seamstress who almost destroyed the dress.  This was a very stressful time given my daughter wanting the dress for prom and because I had spent a lot of money to get the dress.  It was also the week before prom and there would have been no time to get another dress or alter it.  We luckily found Deborah Barnes at The Satin Butterfly and she really came through.  Within 1 day she used her creative skills to repair the dress for my daughter to still wear without others noticing issues.  My daughter was thrilled.  Deborah also had very reasonable prices. We highly recommend Deborah to others.

The next Friday, 7-8 days later later, hadn't started on them. I came back the following Tuesday and 1 of 3 pants was done. Finally picked up the other 2 that Friday after 2 weeks.

I asked Deborah if she could have the blanket ready while my daughter was home from college, and it was ready for pickup a few days after Christmas. I appreciated the quick turnaround at this time of year, especially as I asked her to shop for the flannel backing.

Good business. I think the quality was great for the price. If you are perfectionist, may not be the right place for you. I was satisfied with the quality for the price. The service was great! Very friendly and quick. I would come back for simple works like alterations, etc.

It was exactly what I requested and the slipcover has held up beautifully. I was dealt with very professionally and responsively. Simple and easy start to finish.

My daughter is very petite, and has trouble finding a dress for school dances that fits. We have used the Satin Butterfly twice now for last minute alterations of evening dresses, both times the alterations were done very well, and the timeline for completion was met. Prices seem pretty reasonable considering the work that needed to be done.

All tailoring was performed well and on schedule.

My elderly mother has stooped posture that requires uneven shortening of her clothing.  Satin Butterfly did an excellent job of this and finished the work within 10 days.   I did have to call her to see if they were ready, which they were. Had I asked for quicker service she probably would have done so, but our needs were not that time sensitive. She prefers to work by appointment, but accommodated us within a couple of hours of my call.  Entrance to the shop requires going up about 8 low rise steps, but there is a sturdy railing.

She is not worried about taking challenges.  she is a pro and seems to do a wonderful altering garments.  You can take anything you have to be altered to her.  I even left a garment their for a long period of time and was alright with that.  She is easy to work with, very approachable and all together a nice person. 

It was easy to reach her and set up an immediate house call appointment within hours. She was efficient, pleasant and polite, and did the job within several days (I was in no rush; I bet that if I needed the job done asap she would have found a way to get it done on time.) If I need any alterations or slip covers or special clothing created, I will call this woman to do the job.

My clothes always come out fitting perfectly. Expect to pay about $15.00 for hemming.
